Russians start to realise truth of Putin's 'special military operation' | Sean Bell

“Russia is trying to encourage holiday makers to go to Crimea. They’ve seen explosions, they’ve seen the Kerch bridge hit….the truth about what’s happening with Putin’s special military operation is starting to percolate into the Russian population.”

Putin will face increased concern among the Russian people as the Ruble drops and holidaymakers flee Crimea says retired Air Vice-Marshal Sean Bell adding that Ukraine might have found a strategic advantage as the Dnipro floodwaters recede.

  1. If the Ukraines were given weapons sooner so training w
as started sooner. The counter offensive was late starting because of late delivery of ammunitions and weapons.Don,t anyone think the late start was anything to do with Ukraine.People are dying because of the west dragging it,s feet in supplying weapons or not having them so can,t supply them or not having uniform ammunition for different nato countries weapons or or or. Shame on Europe, especially Germany.Ukraine needs weapons .Listen to them. They know what they want not what you think they need. If Ukraine looses you will be next.Poland understands that so how is it Germany does,nt.Potin is a paranoid maniac.Again Ukraine knows that and Ukraine knows he is,nt going to stop. He,s now and has been building nuclear shelters all over russia for the past year. But of course the West knows this.

  2. wow, wonderful wishful thinking… or is it paid propaganda, paid by Nato? Latest toll is nearly half million soldiers killed in Ukraine and another quarter million seriously wounded… what is the need for Russia to hit civilian targets in Ukraine..?

  3. Sean Bell: You should be truly and utterly ashamed of yourself for trying to say that Russia is not deliberately shooting civilian targets. It is abundantly clear by now that Russia is mercilessly attacking civilian targets.

  4. For heaven’s sake! Crimea isn’t important to Russia because it’s a holiday destination. It is strategically important because a naval force based there can disrupt traffic in the Black Sea and in doing so destroy Ukraine’s ability to export large amounts of grain and critically damage its economy.

  5. I wonder if the Airforce and the politicians have done a disservice to themselves and the country by keeping quiet about the incursions. Near home airspace?
My thought goes: If the public know about them, they can come to several conclusions.
    A: the Airforce is needed.
B: other countries are not as friendly as they may appear to be. If it never gets mentioned to the contrary.

Them that can, keeping their support in the dark, means those that are meant to support don't see the reason to support? Yeah, that sound like what I want to get across.

Classic shooting yourself in the foot?

To the unwary this planet is a death trap. No one, No thing, will survive. BUT! Survival requires we know as much as we can about ALL DANGERS. Up to and including the death of this planet.
IF it is all kept quiet, we as a species will never strive to get off. Ensuing we go down with the ship.

But above all: They who control the high ground, control:

So, get the moon first then, space stations.

  6. 1) After grain deal russian terms were not respected, so Russia broke the deal
    2) Bombing grain facilities in Odessa and Danube river done because weapon was storaged there
    3) Bridgeheads near Kherson Russians kept just to draw ukrainian troops into a trap. Now there are no any crossings.

  7. PS. Minefields are always a double-edged weapon. They will help you defend what you gained so far …but they will also mark the "high watermark" of your advance – you lay down minefields of that size, with mixed mined af all sorts, in front of you, you are also PINNING DOWN YOURSELF to that very same line.

  8. Its always been our holy grail to take Russian warm water port Sevastipol, home of the Black Sea fleet since 1780. The Crimean War, Charge of the Light Brigade and Florence Nightingale. Kruschev Ukrainian gave Crimia away in the 1950's. Reading the histories of Soviet losses in Crimea at the hands of the Germans, and its importance to Russia, one can only wonder how Ukrainians will succeed against a nuclear super power. Our promise of EU and Nato membership convinced Ukraine we would support them, whatever and however long it takes. Tragically the memberships are nowhere in sight, Ukraine is destroyed and totally dependent on us for everything, down to pensions and wages. 30% of its land is owned my our Agro Corporation's like Monsanto, 20% is occupied by Russia. The casualty figures according to Colonel Douglas Macgregor US Army, are 350,000 Ukrainian KIA. Millions of refugees in Europe. Perhaps an Austrian Neutrality type treaty would have been best for Ukraine, but that ship has sailed with the coup and Minsk. As the US Ambassador to Russia said years ago, that Nato in Ukraine was a Red line and would cause Russia to invade has come true. Now William Burns is head of CIA. Russia will never give up Sevastipol, accept US Nato in Ukraine, but we will keep trying for our holy grail to break up Russia. Many believe we have used Ukraine as our Sacrificial proxy.

  9. All of a sudden, countless people across the world, in the comfort of their safe cosiness, have somehow magically become such war-strategy-experts. That's what I call evolution at its finest!👻❤

  10. If you attack infrastructure that keeps people from freezing and dying in winter, they have to perhaps move out of the country. If you take away their means of livelihood in Ukraine, perhaps they have to move out of the country. If you scare them and they have the means, perhaps they move out of the country. Many of these people that leave the country, won't return. In effect, to an extant, you have depopulated the country. The people that are left have less clout on the world stage. The people that are left can't as easily defend themselves the next time (years later) you decide to attack.

  11. Putin is actually a thief that got the top job.The KGB morphed into Russia’s most powerful Mafia.
Once Putin became President by protecting Yeltsin and Family from prosecution for expropriation of state resources.
Yeltsin gave the top job to Putin as a reward and the example of grand larceny.Once President,Putin had the power to reign in the Oligarchs and tax them protection money of 50%.
Not for the Russian State but for Putin.
Subsequently he became the Richest Man in the World.

And all that zelenskyy is doing is keep going on his celebrity tour's Ukraine has already lost the war they are just waiting for it to end! And meanwhile officials of Ukraine are buying up expensive chalets in Switzerland wondering were that money is coming from!

  13. The proper Swedish approach would be to lend all avaliable Gripens to Ukraine when we have become a member of NATO. Stating that now would apply proper pressure upon the Erdogan and Orban rotten attempts to gain leverage or more bribes.
