Russian fuel depots burn after Ukrainian drone attacks

Two Russian fuel depots caught fire after they were targeted in separate Ukrainian drone attacks on Tuesday, regional governors said.

The facilities are located hundreds of miles apart in the towns of Kstovo and Oryol.

In Kstovo, about 280 miles east of Moscow, a fuel and energy complex was attacked by drones.

  1. The Refinery !!! Is a very complicated mass of pipes, will take months to repair, excellent work Ukraine, Russia already stopped exporting petrol and diesel for six months from 1 March, no doubt due to the many refineries etc being 💥💥all takes revenue from the 🤡in charge 💪🇺🇦💪

  2. Gas reserves in underground storage facilities (UGS) in Europe in March are at a record level and reach around 60.5%. At the same time, the total withdrawal from EU underground gas storage facilities since the beginning of the heating season reaches 48 bln cubic meters. Gas on the stock exchange in Europe is traded at about $280 per 1,000 cubic meters. Gazprom supplied gas for Europe through Ukraine in the volume of 42.4 mln cubic meters per day via the Sudzha gas pumping station in Russia’s Kursk Region, a Gazprom representative told reporters.

    "Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through Ukrainian territory in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side via the Sudzha gas pumping station of 42.4 mln cubic meters as of March 12. The request for the Sokhranovka gas pumping station has been rejected," a Gazprom representative told reporters.

  3. In January 2024, Russia maintained oil production at the level of December 2023 at 9.5 mln barrels per day (bpd), according to the March OPEC report.

    According to data from previous OPEC reports, Russia is maintaining oil production without taking into account condensate at 9.5 mln bpd from June 2023. In general, the output of liquid hydrocarbons in Russia in January also did not change compared to December 2023 and amounted to 10.9 mln bpd.

    OPEC expects that in 2024, Russia’s output of liquid hydrocarbons will decrease by about 0.2 mln bpd to 10.7 mln bpd, taking into account all the voluntary restrictions on oil production that Russia has undertaken within the OPEC+ deal.

    The organization also emphasized that the launch of several new oil projects in Russia will be offset by a decline in production from the country's mature fields.

    In 2025, according to OPEC's forecast, liquid hydrocarbon production in Russia will increase by 0.1 mln bpd due to expanded production at some fields and the launch of new projects by Russia’s largest oil companies.

  4. The Moldovan Foreign Ministry has lodged a formal protest in connection with the opening of polling stations for the Russian presidential election in the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldovan Republic, or Transnistria, Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov said.

    "We made this decision (to open polling stations – TASS) together with the Russian Central Election Commission [CEC] and the Russian Foreign Ministry. And together with the Transnistrian administration we will open several polling stations. Of course, there won’t be 30 polling stations like in 2021, including 27 in Transnistria. The Moldovan Foreign Ministry today expressed its dissatisfaction and protest over these actions," the diplomat said after visiting the ministry.

    Vasnetsov called on all Russian citizens living in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau to take part in the Russian presidential election on March 17.

    During the Russian presidential election in March 2018, a total of 27 polling stations were opened in Moldova. Three of them were opened on the territory of Moldova, and 24 more on the territory of Transnistria. In an interview with TASS on February 8, Vasnetsov said that, this year, the Moldovan authorities have restricted voting in the presidential election to the premises of the Russian embassy in Chisinau only. He then pointed out that the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said it was unacceptable to open polling stations in Transnistria.

    The Federation Council, or upper house of Russia’s parliament, designated March 17, 2024 as the date of the presidential election. The CEC then announced that voting will take place over three days, from March 15 through 17, making it Russia’s first three-day presidential election.

  18. We once thought that Russia's army was 2nd best in the world. Then we found out that it was only 2nd best in Ukraine. Now I guess Ukraine is showing which anti-infrastructure army is 2nd best, too.

  31. That vertical tower looks like a distillation column, so its Russia's ability to refine its oil that has gone. There is probably lots of safety monitoring and process control equipment been lost too. Spot on .. No oily oily .. No tanky tanky.

  35. Burning Russian oil is like melting ice in the Artic circle .But for Ukraine it is a nice diversionary ploy after loosing hundreds of special forces troops in the failed Belgorod adventure .

More and more countries are getting sick and tired of Russian threats and Fascist Nationalism expansion and understand it’s time for action.
