Meteors are very powerful. PL-15 is even more deadly. But in terms of production, AIM-120C gets the job done.
This is a fairly poor example of how Air Combat would be waged by Russia. I think they learned this from the war in Ukraine, but Su-27's engaging in long range BVR combat would be very poor.
The Su-35, Su-57 and Mig-31 have the R-37M missile which outclasses the Meteor in performance, speed and maneuverability and its found great success in the war in Ukraine. Why didn't any of the aircraft have R-37M's? To be honest the Su-27SM's and Su-35's were using SARH missiles, when in reality they are equipped with R-77s. This is just me but the videa was very poot, and unrealistic in my opinion.
