Allegations of brutal interrogations, where Ukrainian men were shot and threatened with rape, have been made by a former Russian military officer.
Konstantin Yefremov, the most senior officer to speak openly, told the BBC in an exclusive interview Russia now sees him as a traitor and defector, and he has now fled the country.
At one site in southern Ukraine, he said “the interrogations, the torture, continued for about a week”.

When I was a child in Grade school, we were taught how to dive under our desks in case the Russians would bomb and kill us. This was 65 years ago. Now my Grandchildren, and future Great Grandchildren, have to learn how to protect themselves from them again. The Russians are going to start World War 3. This is so wrong. So wrong.
