Russia paying ‘extraordinary price’ in Ukraine, says UK defence chief

Russian forces suffered an average of around 1,500 dead and injured per day in Ukraine during October, according to the UK’s chief of defence staff.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin told the BBC that the Russian people were paying an “extraordinary price” for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion, saying that October was the worst month for losses since the conflict began in February 2022.

  1. !!I just switched up my Roth IRA to 50% SCHD, 25% SCHX, 25% SCHG, and my Roth 401k is 70% vanguard S&P 500 index, 20% vanguard growth index, and 10% vanguard international index. Seeking best possible ways to grow $350k into $2m+ before retirement.

  2. His maths is a bit strange. At the beginning the same western media, defence analyst and everybody in the know was telling the world that Russia would invade with 150,000 personnel . They managed to mobilised only 300,000 again the reason the west said that happened was because Russians did not want to mobilise and fled the country lot of pictures of people of military age running away. We were then told by the same news sources that the Russian army is running out of reserves and had to be recruiting from prisons .There were frequent reports from the same media that Russia was losing up t0 1000 men a day killed and injured since 2022. This is another over 300,000 men . If you use Uk's chief figures of 600,000 dead and injured today and given that the Russians are winning and advancing on all fronts and is currently losing 1500 men per per day one can only conclude the Russians are actually using ghost on the frontlines. Because the maths gives us negative sum and the war continues.

  3. Delusional ptopaganda… Russia by comparison to the West is no contest.. Just visit.. Smell the freedom and feel the support from the majority of the world against the failed NATO terrorists.. Europe is sinking.. Resources are thinning out as governments impose more and more restrictions on personal freedoms and family values … The world has turned uoside down as BRICS supports peace and prosperity… Wake up and ignore the war mongers who will attempt to conscript the cream of youth and sacrifice them on the neocon alter of evil.

  4. So he wants MORE money to be spent on defence??

    Defence of what?

A minor world power, corrupted and neglected, by successive (not successFUL!) governments that don''t give a damn about the population, it's older citizens and it's homeless and it's poor, whilst welcoming and overindulging ILLEGAL immigrants??

A first world country, with third world leadership, living conditions and values.

We don't need (or want) money spent on weapons, to satisfy the indoctrinated war-mongers – there's nothing "Great" in Britain, anymore, to make it worth invading!

Spend the money on people – BRITISH people – and borrow Trump's phrase – Make Britain Great Again.

  5. Earlier in the war the Admirable was making unrealistic remarks about the war in Ukraine and he has not changed his drift. To talk about economic pressure on Russia is unsound after they have already survived years of sanctions. To talk about 2026 is even more ludicrous at this stage when America may well withdraw from the fray and Europe is not strong enough to take over and win. For as long as it takes means for as long as it takes for Ukraine to lose. The cruelty is insane.

  6. Russia is paying a heavy price? Really!! So who in winning? This man is a bull shitter not worth listening to, this is the same nonsense they where telling us about US elections that Kamala will win. Russia is winning this SMO and Ukrainian's and foreign military from US, British, Poland and Britain are trapped in Kursk and being eliminated. Zelensky is in panic mode, with regards to economy the officer better go to the shops and look at price of food in stores then check Russia

  7. Every 10 words Is a lie. How can you make tactical and territorial gains with that amount of losses?! 40% of theGDP for war?! IMF have something different to say. You cannot hide 45 thousand people in a month, from the public. Now I understand why nato do not have the balls to officially put the boots on the ground in Ukraine

  8. Russia denies casualties but refuses to allow repatriation of the bodies of fallen Russian soldiers. Ukraine has refrigerated shipping containers and train carriages full of Russian soldiers all recovered from the battlefield and treated with respect and they are counted and logged.

Russia forgets that the west records all hospital data in Russia and occupied Ukraine.

  12. It's the complete opposite way around. He's lying. They've been telling fantasies to everyone from day one of this war. Everything he's saying here is complete fantasy propaganda. Go check how rich Russia is getting by the Day. It's all fantasies.

  14. Shameless puppet. Lying with straight face to UK public. Well he is on BBC, what else can we expect. Ukraine has to raise its combat army 5times so far. Ukraine has 650000 dead 800000+ wounded. Russia is spending 6.3% of its GDP and not 40%. Russian economy is stronger than pre war and has attained the status of a developed nation this year.
