SDB-II/Stormbraker, is truly a game changer among the air dropped ammunition. I always thought it was a great weapon but I was also skeptical about it's ability to penetrate advanced Russian and Chinese air defense systems. But knowing what we know today of the performance of the Russian SAM systems, we can conclude that the small diameter bomb would obliterate them.
Sure, USAF has missiles that are faster and longer ranged than the SDB, but the combination of range, seekers and size, makes it a winner.
