The biased ISW reports that Russia gained 5km2 of territory around Avdeevka in the last 2 days. It also reports that this town is likely to be lost as the supply routes have been cut.
Russia has recently begun admitting they haven’t gained any territory. There has been a slight shift in the grey zone though.

The truth is that the media apparatus of any country can gin up a case for War, no matter what images or videos are available. In the case of Ukraine, the outrage is both genuine and well warranted, but still manufactured. In Autocratic or Totalitarian societies, the media is state owned and message dictated by the government. In the West, Media will cover a War Story as long as it is "fresh" and novel, and earns views.
Note that a conflict in Africa can have conflicts with the same type of atrocities, and even on a much larger scale, yet be almost totally ignored.
