  1. What about the war crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan? American soldiers are 100X Worst…. Children being born with birth defects. 100s of thousands of children killed by America…… America is the new Nazi Germany

  2. Putin has invaded neighboring countries 3 times using the exact same tactics. I am beyond confused how regular people can look at this and go “yeah, Ukraine’s fault, totally.” The only thing Ukraine is at fault for is wanting to be a democratic country, shocker I know.

And please stop this whataboutism just because other countries did horrendous things in the past (however recent that may be) doesn’t justify letting MASSIVE amounts of human life go to waste and our largest enemy grow in power.

At least in the west we can criticize and hold our government accountable. You think the average Russian can even criticize the government? (no). So while you have the freedom to hold our government accountable for their stupid actions, Russia’s is just going to get bolder.

West is only at fault for ignorance. It’s been happening for 14 years and yall did nothing . Russia’s army was terrible back then.

  3. Will Russian leaders be prosecuted for their war crimes in an international court? According to ChatGPT, no.

The ICC is a court of last resort that investigates and prosecutes individuals accused of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of aggression. However, the ICC can only prosecute individuals from countries that have ratified the Rome Statute, which established the court, or when the UN Security Council refers a situation to the ICC.

Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute and has not consented to the jurisdiction of the ICC. Furthermore, Russia has veto power as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, which means that it can block the referral of a situation to the ICC.

While it may be difficult for the ICC to prosecute Russian leaders for war crimes committed in Ukraine, it is still important to hold those responsible accountable for their actions. The international community can work to ensure that the perpetrators of war crimes are identified and held accountable through other means, such as domestic prosecutions, targeted sanctions, and diplomatic pressure.
