Deranged archaeologist may have been theoretically possible, as I believe you can either interface-walk through spine mushrooms or won't be attacked when already in combat. Although this requires multiple accounts to keep Tar Monsters busy, and perhaps if interface-walking the spine mushrooms won't work (anymore), be in combat in a pvp-world (not sure if pvp-splashing is still possible though).

Your series is affecting me ingame. I'm playing a regular ironman from start because I didn't want the stress of avoiding death with a hardcore. Yet, when I now pass giant bats which aggro me, I pannick.
Yo Settled one thing to think about would be random aggressive monsters in areas that can do Ranged or Magic damage. I'm sure you already know this, just reminding you that melee protection isn't 100% protection.
