  1. Why don't you put in a garage door on the back side of the garage so you can drive you equipment through? Does it not connect to the back garden? Excellent reuse of the old gate for the new entrance to the car park if/when.

  2. Yes I agree about the doors and the same not frosted but transparent, have to say though I can't wait until that garden is finished, it has the feel of a secret garden about it

  3. I really like it when the doors of a building match in colour with the windows. So I would prefer a door like the chateau door in white for the convent, if the windows will be white in the future.

  5. Hello Billy, well, you must have some strength in your arms / body to lift and walk those doors off the frame, and, what a TIGHT fit getting the monster of a machine through into the garden area – now the fun begins! What a diference to the garden area with the building rubbish having been cleared and the ground leveled = wonderful! So like the idea of the doors with glass! Best wishes from Lincolnshire

  6. Dear Billy, "Ruining the Convent doors" video… Very interesting. Once again you prove "where there is desire, there is accomplishment" !!! The black iron doors are spectacular. They will be gorgeous. Also, Bravo to Dad for his dedication.👏👏👏

  7. But yours doors are not supposed to be the same color of your windows? Black doors and black windows are going to be gorgeous and chic for this architecture. My contractor explain to me that: expensive house or construction does not have white doors and windows. The results outside look less expensive. He said to me you have to put them black. What do you think?

  8. I am very happy that you have finally got the permission to add an entrance to the Convent from the car park and that is a great idea for doors for the convent. Your dad has done a beautiful job on clearing rubble mountain love seeing you and your dad together. Have a lovely day.

  9. Good morning, Billy. I agree, the wrought iron glass doors will look beautiful in the entrances. And the light it will let through, amazing! Looking forward to that more than the windows in the kitchen : ))) Crack on…

  10. yes yes yes ! love love love the black doors with windows. The grill work on the door kind of matches a garden trellis that i have here in Nova Scotia ! That back garden area is going to be so beautiful ! 🙂

  11. Billy, you mentioned that you would need a blacksmith to create new doors for the convent. I was watching a video from Edd and Anna ( Bordeaux Life) a few weeks ago. They took us on a tour of the really nice outside bricante that you also went to ( also you and your family as well as Edd and Anna in one video). Anyway; there is a blacksmith there that custom makes works of art as well as taking on commissions/ clients. He has some very beautiful works in his shop. Just remember …"you get what you pay for"…and this guy is high quality….and worth every penny from what I saw in the video. Good luck !

  12. Oh well it is done! You have to find a way to make both doors accessible so when you need to do this AGAIN. We made our FRONT DOOR WIDER TOO AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOORS because of FURNITURE, APPLIANCES ETC….

  13. "Is the other door the same width?" If you hadn't measured both doorways before starting this project I would say you deserve whatever headaches you get. Yes it makes for a suspenseful vlog but really! Definitely not worth a "like."

  14. A wonderful idea for the doors and I pray you find the blacksmith you need to carry out your plan. You will find him, I’m sure because when you have a great idea, you manage to get it done. Your head is full of great ideas for the chateau, convent and all other buildings you have on your property. You, along with your reliable helpers can get anything done once you set your head to it. Good luck!!

  15. I was wrong on my previous comment that the fenders add centimeters. From the angle of the previous video it looked like it but watching this time…nope. The door had to be dealt with. Thanks for including us!

  16. Hi Billie, love watching your videos and the progress your making to put this beautiful building together again. The doors you want to replicate, I would make them for you but I live in Australia so would be a little expensive 😊. You may be able to get them made at a place that does the ornate gates, they maybe cheaper then a blacksmith. Or a general welding place as the trade of blacksmith went to boilermaker to welder. Take care and look forward to watching more of the progress 🧡

  17. I had thought you had organized a route before to get into the back garden so was surprised by this video. As long as parts are replaceable I suppose is fine they aren't exactly original doors.
