Hi Scott, I like your plan. The pounds per square inch of weight has been the problem with tracks on my Dodge Dakota, just don't get enough floatation. How are you planning on getting a wrench on your center hub?
I measured the out side track width and it should be about 9ft 5 inches out side.
I don't know how things are in the US, but in Norway I can buy a tracked vehicle for less money than 8 tracks. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me anymore.
This is an amazing Idea and I think it would be great to see. I think you may want a way to also lock them together so that they pivot as one once mated together.
