  1. the "modders" you are talking about are obviously Nvidia employees and have experience implementing FG into games. Nvidia don't want to lose to amd at any title, but fake frames do not equal real frames, it doesn't feel the same nowhere. "90" fps with this mod is not different from 45fps native, it just interpolates images like TVs and change the motion to something people think is more fluid because of expectation bias, that's the real magic. it's smoke and mirrors

  2. FG just looks so horrible. Dithering and the weapon laser becomes a mess. Increased latency at an already low internal fps seems like a disaster. Not sure why people use this feature.

    DLSS 2 is incredible though.

  3. Classic Bethesda move. Release a disgracefully substandard product and let the modders clean up your shit.
…and if Bethesda stays true to form Starfield SE will be coming at some point in the future so we can all buy the game again. What a con.

  4. kryzzp actually i just booted my pc into safe mode to do something and then my monitor displays input not supported and no keys are working at the moment and I can't even go into the startup repair screen

  5. FG on my 4070Ti at 3440×1440 is a game changer. Bethesda missed the mark shipping this with FSR exclusively. I dropped sharpening down to 20 and it looks almost native. Very hard to tell if you don't know what you're looking for.

  6. was not expecting this performance boost. Modders achieved this in a couple of days. Would be nice if multi-millionaire companies could accomplish the same with the very expensive cards we buy from them for pretty much this exact feature 🙂

  7. Ive downloaded the FG mod aswell and I can now play this with 100% res scale (DLAA) and FG with well over 100FPS completely maxed out on a 4090 and no dips below 100. Previously I had dips to the 60s in intense areas. Plus it looks A LOT better than native. Set sharpening to 0 when using DLAA (100% resolution scale). My screen resolution is 3440×1440.

  8. Hey Kryzzp, thanks for testing! I was quite surprised how shimmery/flickery/pixelated the image was after checking this mod (even by disabling DLSS3 and using only DLSS2 version). So I've started testing stuff. And it seems (like other people already wrote on the comments) the issue is with enableNisSharpening. Disabling this option brings back good image stability. Cons? It's soft(er) again. Still I prefer this look. I will check the ReShade adaptive sharpening next.

  9. I've noticed a trend lately where new pc games are terribly optimized because the devs just rely on DLSS 2 and 3 to maintain playable frame rates. This feels like Bethesda made the same lazy decision but forgot to implement DLSS themselves

  10. Bethesda not adding DLSS and frame generation is the biggest mistake. They should have never partnered with AMD as FSR is nowhere near as good as DLSS, contrary to what some idiots who can't afford a new RTX card may say.
