The RTX 3060 Ti is still an excellent choice for solid gaming in 2023, especially if you can find a good deal on the second-hand market. Today we’re comparing it to the much newer 4060 Ti and seeing how much of a difference there is two-and-a-half years later.

Native testing for the win
If 500k of people's donated 1 dollar that's still 500k and y'all are 1 dollar closer to having a gpu that lasts more then 1 generation if you sent 2 $ that's garenteede I can get 300-500k GPUs made
Do note if nvidia tried to match this watt for watt performance, rtx 4060 ti will be a beast with, but it just show that they needed control the money
Tbf the 4060ti uses a lot less Watts than the 3060ti. Such a shame it’s only 8GB
GPU releases are always the largest attraction of fake nerd rage. Every release people complain just as they are now. Is the card not faster than the 3060ti?
This video is why I like RandomGaming. Because he’s not telling everyone what they want to hear. It’s not an upgrade path that makes sense for people on a 3060ti. It really never was. All of the marketing seems to be targeting people still on 20 series and before.
The 4060 Ti ultimately has one core element going for it: Witnessing the card consistently delivering better framerates at an average of 050 to 092 Watts less than the 3060 Ti truly would've made this a safe buy for many people had the Driver Support and a 0256 Bit Memory Bus been present, it clearly is capable of handling the odds in Hyper HD (I440p/I600p) but only under specific conditions does it feel as if this can be tended to Full~Time; it is a shame though that the Memory Bus being 0I28 Bit is what makes it a hard sell for the Workstation demographic, even the 0I6 GB version will suffer for producers because the bandwidth is so small and this makes it feel as if the RTX 4070 and up are more so meant for this space in the Lovelace Era while the 4060 Ti and lower are prioritized more for Gaming, wishfully this form of segmentation doesn't persist with the era of GDDR VII~based cards and my hope is that Blackwell and beyond will not witness the handicaps that we are witnessing here in GDDR VI's final major year.
I'm so happy that I have a ASUS TUF 3060 Ti GDDR6X
Besides the 4090 40 series is a complete waste of money.
Insane this didn’t atleast have 12gb of vram for a $400 card in 2023
I liked your video really but next swap the 12400F because in somw games it is bottlenecking the 4060ti. For example GTA V with a GPU Utilisation of 80% or high 80s.
😂😂😂😂 still don't know why people buy 4060ti people have lots of money to waste on same kinda performance that's the reason nvidia making 1% performance GPU for more prise 😂😂😂😂 if not nvidia fault we are the one letting them sell anything for garbage 😂😂😂😂 blame this boobs buying anything for nothing
The difference in power draw is incredible.
My 3060 ti has left me not wanting to upgrade now it’s still a little beast running anything I throw at it with good temps all in a compact little EVGA XC. You can pick them up cheap used
Wow, what a difference two-and-a-half years make. Gotta love it! 😆
what a turn around man, i have witnessed your channel testing phased out cards and now your tacking the latest. cool man!
The 4060ti as priced right now by Nvidia is a middle finger to gamers. I hope you are right that the price will drop as $400 is a bit high.
Gpa isn’t even maxed out in Spiderman
I don’t understand why you’re testing older games if you’re not testing them in 4k. I don’t care how a gpu performs when it’s only being 70% utilized because it’s bottlenecked by the cpu
So its just a 3060 ti but 5% better?
at the very least it draws less power.
why is the rtx 4060ti Pcie 4.0 x8 and rtx 3060ti is Pcie 4.0 x16? isn't that the reason why there isn't much of improvement as the rtx 4060ti is half the Pcie of the rtx 3060ti?
Get a 4070 for 1440p got it thanks
What about the 2070 super? It has more bandwidth..
RTX 3060 Ti
Every card need to go down a level… to be considered impressive.
4060ti should be the 4060 at $300
4070 should be the 4060ti at $400
4070ti should be the 4070 at $500
4080 should be the 4070ti at $600
4090 should be the 4080 at $800
Nvidia wouldn't know how to spend all the money.
All you paying for is AI technology not hardware anymore 😂
from gtx 1650, better 3060 ti or 4060 ti? the price here not much difference
Would this be a good upgrade from 1050ti?
