RTX 2060 vs RX 6600: The Ultimate Comparison

At current GPU prices, the RTX 2060 and the RX 6600 make the most sense for budget 1080p gaming. But which one should you choose? What about Ray Tracing, DLSS, FSR, etc? Here is a full head to head review of the RTX 2060 6GB vs the RX 6600.

  1. From what I can tell, if you can snag an RTX 2060 Super for a decent price for taking advantage of DLSS as well as Tensor Cores if you use programs that can utilize them where that matters, I'd say it's a good choice even if used. Other than that, The RX 6600 is an epic value, and going used saves you even more money while giving you basically the same performance as a 2060 Super, so for the pure gamer, that's great! I do also think NVENC and those things are superior even in the RTX 2000 series, so that's added value for me personally, but ymmv, and I think going new w/ RX 6600 and having a warranty isn't a bad idea either…

  2. People are really sleeping in the RX 6600. When I purchased mine (on sale for $250 during amazon prime day) I was expecting a middle of the road 1080p card so imagine my surprise when it was able to easily drive my 35" ultrawide @ 3440×1440. I'm playing Wasteland 3 now and it averages 70-90 FPS the entire time. This card is a real gem!

  3. Please don't look at the 'Single-Fan' models as cheap! It is more difficult/expensive to design a small capable cooler than to just slap a second fan and some plastic on it… And if people then see them as cheap just because of the single fan, manufacturers will start to even more cater to that: 3 fans maybe cheaper than 1 good one, lots of plastic and barely a heatsink underneath!

  4. Honestly… I find that Cyberpunk 2077 runs surprisingly smooth and with a surprisingly still absolutely stunning level of visual quality even on a 1070 ti. I use recommended optimized graphics settings, with many options still set to high or maximum, at 1440p with FSR set to good quality.

  5. I have two computers. One rocking an RTX 2060 6GB Strix and the other a Founders edition RX 5700 from AMD. What would a decent upgrade be from either of those cards? There doesn't seem to be one from my perspective.

  6. Glad to see AMD actually gave a crap about efficiency. Because 100w vs 180w for the 2060, in just 1 generation, is HUGE. Reminds me of pascal.

So much so, the mobile rx6600m can use the same literal 100w power limit and literally has the same specs as the desktop rx6600.

  7. Although the rx6600 may seem like good value, let's put it into perspective: the rx5700 has comparable performance and could be bought for 300 euros 2 years ago. So there was no progress in performance in the past 2 years in this segment.

  8. In my country 6600 is only 25€ cheaper than 3060. So i'm thinking of upgrading my RX580 to the 3060, even though its still ~400€. I'm getting tired of waiting for bigger price drops. 🙁
It should be very good upgrade till the next gen CPU/GPUs comes around and its time for a full system upgrade next summer

  9. Currently im at a huge predicament the rx 6600 where im at is currently just 260$ for the power color version. while the rtx 3060 is 400 dollars. i just need a gpu that can handle games like valorant and apex at 1080 p high but has good video encoding and managable video editing should i go for the nvidia 250$ which is the rtx 2060 or the amd 250$ which is rx6600

  10. My current card is an RTX 2060 like the one you tested except it's not an Evo. For a 2 year old card it's done really well. I do want to build an ATX case system and do want to put a 3060 in. The build keeps getting put back so it's heartening to know that there's still life in my current card yet. PlayStation titles intrigue me, particularly as the newer consoles use AMD processors and GPU's. You would then expect their PC ports to handle well on AMD cards and it did look to be the case, that being said, I'd still take my 2060 over an AMD.

  11. Daniel still doing amazing work with these vids. I feel like you are hitting all of the topics that the average gamer/consumer should be asking about, whereas the biggest content creators in the space are very hit or miss due to the nature of their platform. Daniel you rock, keep creating great timely content.

  12. I bought a Rx 6600 from Amazon for 310€ a week ago but yesterday I asked for a refund because I was having some issues like blue screen and black screen but I'm eager to buy another because I really need an upgrade since my graphic card ATM it's a 1060 3gb

  13. Please do a video on the USED market. There's so many good GPU's on the market besides RTX/RDNA. But nobody bothers talking about the used market for some odd reason which is booming with deals better than a 6600 or 2060.
