  1. You know, in 2003 in Iraq, delta and 22 SAS done no telling how many operations together, and Chris Vansant said on the Shawn Ryan show that SAS, didnt have Nods, night optical observation device, and obviously IR lasers to go with. When obviously delta or other tier 1 US group had them. I believe most infantry had at a single tube nvg. Now I know just having better gear doesn't mean everything, and I'm sure sas has nvgs now. But with better gear come better capability, and it makes you wonder how ahead are US sf now

  2. That’s pretty cool but don't let that distract you from that fact that In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them….maybe you can hire The A-Team.

  3. All groups are the top .01%, but Delta is the top .01% of the top .01%. I think the only reason that they topped the list over SAS is because Seal team 6 is the equivalent of the SAS and there's no group above the SAS (known to the public), whereas Delta is a step above the Seals and only invites the best of the best of all US Special Forces to try out for them.

  4. The Combat Applications Group out of Fort Bragg, commonly referred to as "Delta Force, are only selected from the US Army. It's a myth they take in personnel from the other branches of the US military. The far less known CIA SOG (Special Operations Group), take in various members of the different branches of the US military, however once accepted into SOG you're officially categorized as a "civilian."

Delta Force is a mission specific group, and do not cover all of the activities that the SAS do. It's believed they actually killed Pablo Escobar, but they're not intended for the missions the SAS typically conduct. Which is why for years the CIA used SAS for clandestine missions overseas. Usually to take out targets, such as a specific high value target, which would be illegal if US forces were used.

  5. A lot of people don’t know about the Air Force’s 24th Special Tactic Squadron, which is the Air Force’s Tier One Unit. You can find a video of them at General Discharge where he goes into as much detail there about them. And there’s a reason why they’re not as recognizable as other special forces because they take the term “quiet professionals” very serious

  7. The Brits wrote the handbook on Special Forces. But at the end of the day if I was a hostage, I would be happy to see either SAS, delta or devgru (Seal team 6). As a marine I have to say I think our Force Recon and Marine Raiders are a higher a Echelon than some of our foreign counterparts in the Middle East such as Pakistan etc. I only say that because they regularly brush shoulders and train/work alongside special forces brothers and have access to the same budget (mostly). Let's not forget Army Rangers and all of the missions they've been a part of over the years with their experience and wealth of knowledge.

  8. This video is extremely flawed they have listed ssg of pakistan and not even any mention of para sf or marcos both of which are deadly marcos is extremely well trained and is one of the best in the world the only reason very less is known about the force is because Indian Government keeps most things classified including past successful operations to training details etc if the Indian RAW could conduct a regime change as said by an ex raw officer and the country actively spends large sums in the defense sector its obvious it has one of the best in the world

  9. Delta is Tier 1. It draws from the best of the best of American Special Forces. Rangers, SEALS, Force Recon, ParaRescue, Green Berets, and CIA operatives are all a part of US SFOD-D. This blending of troopers from a variety of disciplines (Rangers take installations, Green Berets aid insurgencies, SEALS do demolition and personnel removal, etc) makes Delta one of, if not the most flexible SF group in the world. These are the professionals who stole a Russian HIND Helicopter from Chad in 1988 and brought it back to the US with the help of the 160th SOAR.

  10. only seals can be seals but delta can be from any branch even from the seals but always the best. and not as group but individually they can destabalize governments. put all that together and imagine the unstoppable force that would be.

  11. If you want to see an interesting "special forces" unit, you should definitely check out the CIA's Ground Branch (part of the Special Activities Center/Division). The channel "The Spy Network has a great video on them called "The Final Option" their video on the SAC/SAD is also pretty good. Basically Delta Force or 22nd SAS but for the CIA.
