Even though this was a re-re-run, it was still one of the best ever.
Has anyone else watched every single one of the Mayday Air disaster episodes on YouTube? I was so happy that you uploaded one I haven't seen. Thank you!
Downside: Every time I fly I think about these. 🤔
Of course the FA doesn't want to install the system on all aircraft. It cost too much. They or their families are NOT the ones on the plane's everyday!
This is my favorete episode! My seconed favorete is Air France 8969 and my third favorete was Fedex 705.
Watching this sometimes makes me want to be a air crash investigator
Gives a whole new meaning to "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds".
Great video! Can’t believe I haven’t seen this in other channels such as Mentour.
45:51 If the FAA and the NTSB think that it was way too expensive and way too unnecessary to put the PCA on planes but now they want to adapt counter missiles to passenger planes but they won't put something on planes to save them if something goes wrong? If the hydraulics goes out on the aircraft and they all go out even if not hit by a missile but something else but the plane is still flying the people are supposed to just to dye because a bounce of corporate brown nosers wanted to save a couple of pennies.
These pilots seriously had nerves of steel! And tg for their experience years too. That was some truly amazing flying.
I wish the narrator hadn't said "Where the Japanese pilots had failed in it", though. They didn't 'fail'. The terrain they were over was mountains, not a desert. I think the word 'unlucky' is better suited than 'failed'. Those pilots tried their hearts out to the very end. Pretty sure if Baghdad was full of mountains around the airport, we'd be hearing a different end to this.. (I'm glad they made it though).
No one is mentioning the precious parcels.
Mid east are good for nothing but killin'
Nice
How terrible and how unfortunate that cursed race ……. they will never have peace…
your country gets invaded and if you fight back you're a terrorist
Do you even know why Al Qaeda attacks US in the first place? For supporting countries that make attacks against muslims all over the world. Better look it up and wake up a bit than portraying any muslim speaker to be the villain.
Wow! Going just by the preview, like 10seconds in, i am looking for my seatbelt to be fully fastened and all sharp objects safely stowed away and to hang on for dear life.
Looks fascinating and perhaps there is goodnews at the end ?!
Edit: this guys performance might just be the finest act of flying in the history of aviation.
Rivetting !!
What gives the west the right to take over a forging country like that?
Severs them write to get involved with internal Middle East affairs.
You leave them be; their savages.
So primitive
These pilots deserve a award
Do you know anyone which season and episode? Thank you for help
The journalists who go into the terrorist groups to get their stories are complicit in the terrorists' acts because going to them that way both legitimizes them and emboldens them.
What would you do with terrorists with missiles and automatic weapons? Yeah youre going to tell them to stop or Im leaving? yeah right! They wouldve been killed. PCA is just software, how difficult would it be to just implement it? Extra safety net? Nothing short of a miracle landing.
Thank Allah they managed to land safely.
Just goes to show the evolution of rational thinking…. I can’t understand how the reporters didn’t think the terrorists were going to do something crazy…. They’re terrorists.
So, the US invates their contry and every resistance group are called terrorists? Wow, what did we leave for the Russians at this point?
Most pilots prefer flying cargo, cargo doesn't Scream
Wow…what skill!! By the way…I don't like when the picture goes to a small version of the full screen. I want this flight crew for my flights!!
Excuse me…but the PCA system. should be required equipment in ALL commercial and cargo aircraft!
Well done DAHL crew. CRM was critical. Excellent crew.
