  4. Ive played in a tournament and its rough.. I can usually tell tells, but it really is all about trapping and its a chess game. Mixing up your format whether aggressive or passive. To make your marks and to use your opponents vices against themselves

  5. It's great to see y'all reacted to this. I remember when I showed this to my buddy, who's a big time Poker player, his first reaction was "why haven't I seen this before you"? There wasn't much fanfare for it, and it gained a massive cult following in the post-theatre video market.

    Now if you want another great movie that most people have no idea about, it's called "Warrior". It has Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. You will be glad you did. I wish more U-Tub reaction channels would react to it as well as Rounders.

  12. 38:10 I wondered why Grama was so upset as well since he's getting his money. It could be that he'd rather beat the crap out of Worm (who's also off the hook) than get paid though I'm sure he'd have given Matt Damon a beating as well since he needed to be respected by KGB as his enforcer and going light on Damon would have been bad for his image.

  14. I'd rate worm as one of the top 3 most annoying characters for me from all the films I've watched. He really pisses me off the way he kept throwing Damon under the bus or didn't know when to STFU. Total weasel.

  18. KGB being defeated accepted defeat gracefully in a way but knew he lost straight up. Gramma was pissed because he wanted to take everything from Mike and Miks would still owe 15 000 and then he could kill him

  22. OMG! BJ had me cracking up at the beginning with his "rounder upper" X) Love this movie and had to watch when I saw y'all were reacting to it, but I got more joy than I was expecting with that tangent! 😀

    Asia got it; that's exactly what rounders means. 🙂 My dad was an amateur card shark and taught me from a young age to have a poker face, and I have a great one … but I suck at playing games for money. I can win all day long as long as it's free, but the minute money gets involved, I lose my nerve and tank every time, so I do not gamble. Lol. Dad was good at it though. He'd drive over the line to Louisiana and visit the casinos to earn some extra money each week. He'd refer to his playing as "going to work." He did win more than he lost. Would make about $1000 a month each month. He just did it for the fun of it, though.

    He said the trick is to quit while you're ahead. Most gamblers can't do that; they keep on playing on the high of winning until they lose. They can't stop. Being able to walk away with money in hand while you're in the middle of a winning streak is the hardest part of being successful at this sort of thing, and why most people can't make it as a rounder.
