You can right-click the animal before you attune to inspect the gender. OMG Thank you for those last tips, my seeds and tools organization is driving me CRAZY! Thank you!

Useful tips! I also recommend collecting at least a few of each item in each season of the year.
As for fishing – it seems to me that the farther you go from your own farm, the more expensive fish you will catch (mostly I fish in the savannah by the waterfall and on the beach).
It is also a good idea to quickly buy additional belts for items to bring as many items from the expedition to the cave. And put as much food as possible before the trip 😃
And one more thing – probably the most profitable is planting seeds that bear fruit several times during the season. What do you think?

For animal attuning, you can right click on the animals to inspect them before you attune them the first time if you want to take the guess work out. Great tips 🙂

Btw, I'm at my 2nd year too, and totally explored the mine, got all of the possible "ideas", fully upgraded the house and the animal houses, etc. So I might say I am quite advanced in it.
And I would recommend you to keep your fur, if you like having a big farm with a lot of crops you are gonna need a whole bunch of those.
If you can, try to invite a lot of animals, even if you release them right after, this way you will get to see more colorful and rarer animals, like a golden boar and other more beautiful colors.
2. you can check the animals gender and coloring before attuning to them, just right click and the inspect button shows up
3. you can just fish at the farm until you get the harpoon, at which point beach and forest will yield higher rarity fish than the farm
7. the beach and savannah mine exits wont have a teleporter/glyptodon tunnel until you unlocked and reached it from inside
Just an extra tip: If you want to get the maximum out of the rare fish(like 5 segment fish), don't dry it but pickle with some cheap vinegar.
Okay i already did all of that…except the last tip! 😀 how the hell did i miss that.. 😀 pretty much my only complain about the game would have been about the game daytime. Thanks! 🙂

On the topic of arranging seeds in the seed belt, if you add the same seed over all of last season's seeds, you will end up with a belt with only that seed. This keeps things clean.
