  1. The Roosters have got plenty of money they're buying junior Pearce next year so why not ben Hunt . They must do things differently in the eastern suburbs . Maybe because the cost of living in regards to buying a mansion overlooking
Tamarama is seen in the same light as buying a house in Mount Druitt .

  2. Of course the roosters
They should change there name to vultures because there always circleing any player who isnt happy with talent ,i hope the goes to the Titian's or dolphins, but as a Broncos fan id like him to come back home

  3. The Roosters shade sail gives me the shits. However retiring with the roosters means you get a free job at Channel 9😂. I personally want him at the Titans or Broncos.

  4. Hunt has been paid over a million a year to make his club better. He hasn't. Now he is sooking because he cannot dictate to a club who the coach is, and is playing victim here.

The NRL need to step in and suspend him if the Dragons won't release him and he refuses to honour his deal.

As for the Roosters getting an Origin player for minimum under the 2023 cap, what happened to the NRL's 'notional value' system?

It's time the NRL stepped in and started refusing to honour contracts for a minimum period of players who break their previous contract.

Can the NRL stand up to the Roosters? History suggests they can not.

Will a club stand up to a player? History suggests they won't.

If he doesn't want to play, put him in reserve grade for 2 years. He'll be ruined without the cameras.

The only crime the Dragons have committed here is paying Ben Hunt the ridiculous salary in the first place.

Imagine your marquee Halfback being a better Hooker, but crying about where he plays when he earns $50k a week. Ordinary.

  5. If he takes a bit of a pay cut the roosters could afford it. If he wants to win a comp he will do that. Be beautiful if we could get him at the tigs were a bigger basket case than st George though.

  6. Its so funny the reporters on Fox they attacked jack wighton for wanting to leave Canberra. But they defend Ben hunt for wanting to leave st George 😂😂😂. The only one that called it as it is is for both players wasGorden Tallis. Braith Anasta Phil rothfield is a joke so is the other reporter from Qld. We no why they attacked jack wighton wrong heritage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  7. “This has been going on for 10 weeks”. Rubbish. It’s been an issue since Griffin was first under pressure. Surely this has been a huge distraction for the team. As for not wanting to start “another” rebuild….what has been built by Griffin?

  8. 150K what do you mean the blokes contract is 1.2 million a year with 1 1/2 years left on the table. Dragons take Sam Walker & pay out the remainder of his 1.7 million for this year & the next. We will use that money to get buy a big alpha prop & a damaging backrower because that’s all we need. Walker Sullivan would be a cracking combo move Amone to centres Suli to backrow under Flano would be outstanding.
You can have Hunt but also what rules in place don’t make him out to be high and mighty. Bloke resigned less than 6 months ago and he’s negotiating elsewhere since they sacked his mate. Come on now lol

  9. look compared to other flogs of players wanting to abandon ship, haven't paid a single cent to get out of the contract like us average joes. Hunt is willing to pay like an average joe to get out of his contract as it should be. dragons and hunt will come to an amount that's suitable to both and that'll be it, it's not a shame if they haven't paid him a cent for the upcoming 2 years and if they have then it's set in stone. if they don't well bye bye to his career in reserve grade. suprised no other dragons players have wanted to abandon ship. Hunt wants to win a premiership just like jack whigton. look at the way he plays for qld and how much happier he seems. NRL should do what they done to tallis with EVERY player that wants out of their contract or the players pay a percentage to get out of their contract. NRL have done this to themselves and created this issue.

  11. the NRL needs to fine big time the clubs that are negociating with ben hunt. fine them, dock them competition points and/or cut their salary cap for a few years…..

its not right. ben has a contract that runs for over 2 more years.

    ben hunt.
a great player, but is he a man of character?
bag out the st george management all you want….
but ben hunt is doing a scummy thing to the st george club, supporters and all other clubs that value contracts with players…..
