  1. This deck feels a lot like traditional storm. It runs a lot of "rituals with extra steps" in the form of the twiddles, and relies on racing opponents instead of interacting. I did find this deck kind of uninteresting to watch because it mostly does nothing when it does not win. At least other meme-or-dream decks play knights and turn them sideways or whatever.

Also, top 32 out of 48 players is an 1-X record with bad tie-breakers, right?

  2. What about making this the finisher of a Simic Ramp deck? You can get enough mana, draw enough cards, and who cares if you zombie is black if you can cast him for 0? You lose the tutors, but there's enough that green can bring to the table to make it interesting.

  3. I almost wonder if it would be better to go for Heartless summonings to combo with The Archlich? It will still cost mana to play but one black per casting isn't super bad and then you could build a mono black control deck around it?

  4. Acerak is shaping up to be my favorite card in years! I've been in historic with bontu's monument/black defiler/the red dinosaur that reduces creature cost by 1 and a BUNCH of removal and wheel spells. It's so funny, nobody ever knows what's happening. There's a green card in brother's war that I think goes infinite much easier than this 🙂
