the DLC content has limitless possibilities
I honestly think Wes and Owlcat is a good combo, this is by far one of the best warhammer games ive played, and the best part is there will be ample content updates for the forseeable future.
Your lore videos are what got me into the grim darkness of the far future. I had to try Rogue Trader when it released and I'm glad I did. Your videos were a big help contextualizing the universe, its factions and made it easier to jump in.
How fitting you have 666 k followers. Obviously, you are aligned with one of the chaos gods
Grats on 666k subs
Now Wes has to do a Freebootaz video
It’s a great game, it captures the 40k feel extremely well, gameplay is pretty good too, just nerf the officer and we’re good
Thank you for this lore video! It really helps filling out background knowledge. The game is A-Tier imo. It reminds me of those early RPG that are overloaded with information and mechanics that you have to actually read and take into consideration when planning your characters and "how" you play. I really hope RT does well so Owlcat can continue making games in the WH40k universe. A few more patches also wouldn't hurt. 😀
Well, shit…. I bought it because of you Wes. Keep up the good work brother.
Very nice, i love rogue traders!
There was too many numbers and stats to figure out before starting to I chose to go "frack it" and just be 100% dogmatic. I've sent Idira off to the inquisition, I keep belittling the mutant scum that is Cassia and would've thrown her out an airlock if she wasn't OP and essential to… Well, navigation.
Heinrix gets stink-eye too for being a psyker, and the lower decks are basically empty for looting heretics for new shoes, glory to Tera, the Emporer provides
I would be an iconoclast as well. Trying to better the empire, for the sake of humanity. Cause shit man, whats the point of trying to save a race that barely treats its citizens as humans
Man, I need to get this game. Should probably finish BG3 first, though.
Even on easy/story mode I'm still constantly getting one shotted by snipers and the like😢
Big fan Wes, but I’ve got to query this and I’m happy to be corrected. Aren’t OwlCat Putin simps?
nice video weshammer looking at that game now looks good
I'd recommend the game to hardcore CRPG fans but currently at the last fight of Chapter 3 and with the combo of bugs (82% chance to hit, you shoot, no miss register or anything just a wasted turn where every hit matters, or your character charges but the path doesn't register right and they MOVE FUCKING BACKWARDS etc.) and the random RNG that really seems to favor the enemy AI plus the mechanics of THAT FIGHT just being downright punishing. I have not given up but just how that part of the game plays makes me feel its glitched and certain mechanics SHOULDN'T HAPPEN EVERY ROUND. Maybe it'll get nerfed but hopefully at least, they fix their bugs which while uncommon, are not rare and given the RNG and situation, could mean game over when they occur.
I should mention too, as of typing this and their last "hotfix" certain mechanics and items still just "don't work" and if its a test the npc passed or failed, and indication that that happened would be nice rather than just hoping my mindscrambly grenade actually worked.
Warhammer games are lazy and very boring, what's wrong with an open world like GTA where we get to travel and fight in different battles? Even their mobile games are garbage hyped up by people getting paid to lie about how much they enjoyed it.
I will get this game for sure I will be a rouge trader for the imperium that is indifferent toward most Zeno's
Kingdoms in space.
If i ever happened to be rogue trader I would like to be a ruler of a small domain (being a part of the Empire of Man, of course) or a reclaimer of old human colonis.
So rogue traders are like futuristic space privateers? Nice
Good video. Gives lots of good lore and good narration.
I
amone of the enlightened few, and further I even ran some Deathwatch! If you're going to play Rogue Trader, make sure you pickup Ulfar 😉
I would but I’ve already got my plate full with BG3. Hopefully I’ll give this one a try even tho I’m more a fan of the Tau
Could a space marine become a rouge trader if they are descended from one
By the way, congratulations on the 667K subs!
Muchas gracias for your work! Subscribed!
You either die a Zero or live long enough to be made the Space Pirate…
Can't wait to play this game! Looks so cool!!😊

As an ageing gamer and having been around since 40K began, this is the RPG I've waited decades for. If you're a fan of the universe, you should love it. It's got a pretty steep learning curve but once you get used to the layouts and vast amounts of info available, it becomes incredibly absorbing.
If be the rogue traitor the druikari would blush at.
The game sucks monkey balls….
The writing is decent but the actual gameplay is absolutely terrible. Sucky UI, characters literally can't run, character builds are baffling and poorly explained.
One of the poorest crpg systems I've played.
Many warrants of trade are issued as political maneuvers in order to get inconvenient people out of the way. If they're successful, the Imperium benefits. If not… well, no one will miss them.
Love the content! But could you start posting sources? Not that i dont believe what you tell us or that i think you are copying someone. I just want to know what books you used so i can read them
Can I have orc or a necron follower/pet? If not, is it really worth playing?
Listening to this really makes me want a Warhammer 40k game like Frostpunk mixed with something like Homeworld or Stellaris.
Who remember "Nemesis" from Black Library and assassin's quest for recapturing a Warrant of Trade to prevent heretic ritual with Big E blood?
Wait, in Darktide, there's an elderly woman called The Baroness who seems to command the Mourning Star where all the varlets are, is she a rogue trader recruiting rejects, or is it something to do with the inquisition? 🤔
We b0nk with Thunder Hammer, but why do b0nk?? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
The game has good mechanics, but is in the background that it does a wonderful job: the decisions you have to take are completely above human and compassion but you often see the worst part of your lenience when it comes to bite you back. If you understand the constant danger that corruption can bring you might deem worth to even have one of your retinue executed for having lost control against their will despite them pleeding for mercy.
Truly a lore masterpiece!
In the grim darkness of the far future, money and clout still makes you better than the peasants.
So Rogue traders are 40k equivalent of Conquistadores?
