I can only imagine what it would do if the poles were made of much more dense depleted uranium instead of still very dense tungsten, though it would probably melt during reentry.

Fotunately there is a treaty stating space can only be used for defense purposes and not offense purposes
I can't imagine how such a system would work since if you were to put the launcher in LEO you would need to deorbit each rod.
