Rocket Lab Launches First Electron mission from Virginia



Electron is launching the “Virginia Is For Launch Lovers” mission with three HawkEye 360 satellites onboard. Liftoff is scheduled for a window from 6:00 PM EST to 8:00 PM EST (23:00 to 01:00 UTC) from LC-2, Wallops Flight Facility, Virginia.

Just saw the Rocket Garden Metal Print Poster advertised next to this video on YouTube so I clicked and went to NSF Store… Then I saw the price, £65 for a metal poster… Are you kidding me? & that’s the smallest size too… Sorry but that’s ridiculous price. Would loved to buy it but predicted it would be like £30 at a push… lol

  2. You would think Nasa commentators would know what Rutherford was famous for but it appears they don’t. For the record Ernest Rutherford, was a New Zealand physicist who came to be known as the father of nuclear physics.

  3. 4rom Western Staraleah, looking 2ward's Mandurahff——–>Antarctica, I just saw what looked like a sonic flash jelleefish shape and then long streak ov light 2ward'sArgentina @ about8degree angle into Space.

  4. I was able to see the launch from my home in Virginia Beach. I saw first stage and first stage separation. I saw the second stage with a faint jellyfish effect as it was going directly away from me. I was unable to get any photos or videos of the launch though. It is was awesome!!

  5. Nice jobs folks. I watched from the old NASA ferry dock and could clearly see the 1st stage and fairings falling away. Seeing MECO and 2nd stage light was great.
