  1. Seriously? So Disney’s thinking about giving them a one time $2000 bonus instead of a raise? What? That helps them for one month! Is Disney f****ing them? They need an actual raise now not a one time one month help that’s going to be taxed.

  2. Honestly, I think that while DFB isn’t saying anything, they’re mad. They’ve posted some videos lately that are less positive than usual, which is probably all they feel like they can do

  3. The union questionnaire is a good idea, I just hope it yields honest data. There isn't anything in place (that was mentioned), with supporting documentation, to support any claims submitted by those filling out the form. It's important to mention that Florida is going to be introducing legislation to provide affordable rent and housing across the state, and notably within the areas where most cast and staff are currently residing. Governor DeSantis has addressed the state's concerns for people currently in Florida, and moving to Florida, who are struggling to survive. With nearly 1,000 a day moving to the state, this goes beyond even Disney's responsibility. Something must be done, and it appears the state is at least stepping up to the plate with a serious solution, despite Disney's lack of help. One more reason why Reedy Creek was dismantled. Disney did not pay anything to help the people of Florida OUTSIDE of their 40+ square mile area.

  4. Artificially increasing wages will ONLY result in a temporary win, as even higher rent, transport, insurance and food prices will follow. One must also remember, people from all-over the United States, save-up to visit WDW. If WDW employee wages rise, dramatically, so too, will Disney prices, that will out-price, Guests, from states who have lower wages than Florida. It’s an ecosystem. Rather than push on Disney, why not take the fight to the DC / FL Gvt, to reign-in, inflation.

  5. Disney owns the Queen Library through Hollywood Records. So this isn’t a surprise move. But a race to a gig by a frontman who is over 30 years dead, makes no sense and they may need to shoehorn a bigger retheme revamping the story.

  6. I can't imagine how challenging this is for you guys. I can simply not go to Disney. I mean, it hurts to see a company I once had huge respect for (and maybe even a little love) implode, but to be forced to experience Disney's slow self-destruction first hand like you guys have to has gotta hurt. Stay strong.

  7. The RNRC story is so weird. Was this a rumor he could've actually read somewhere? I haven't heard of it, but that doesn't really mean much (I love other Disney vloggers as much as Tom does). If not, Queen is an awfully weird choice. If you wanted to drop a rumor that would get tongues wagging, it's be smarter to go with Lady Gaga or Harry Styles, you know, someone popular this century. But Queen is actually an artist that totally seems like a group Disney would go after. They'd totally want someone who will still be known in 20 years, AND who Grandma and Grandpa like. "Does Generation X even know who Lizzo is???" And that part right there makes me wonder if Marino was brought in for the new video, as an Easter egg to Disney fans. Why would he have ANY information otherwise?

There are two other things I can't move beyond:

One, Queen is straight-up desperate to continue being famous. Nobody wanted to make the Queen movie they wanted, which would have Freddie dying before the halfway point, with the second half all about "all" the things they've done since. They're even on tour this year with a new singer, so I could totally see them begging to replace Aerosmith the second the Steven Tyler stuff came to light.

And that leads to Two… Replacing a band with another band is totally Disney's MO at this point. Iger wants people to think they're putting out new stuff, but it's also promising to cut budgets everywhere. What better way to create a "new" ride than just making a new film and putting their songs in the coaster? The things inside the coaster are so cheap, they could probably even change some of that around. A far more radical idea would be to change out the artist every few years, but this is a company that went with Aerosmith in the first place…

  8. I think CMs who are exemplary should get paid quite a bit, but not all CM positions are created equal so maybe the whole pay structure needs an overhaul- that’s hard to do in unions because usually merit is based on seniority-not sure if that is the case here.

  9. That connector on the Cosmic Rewind ride vehicle is called an XLR and is a standard audio connector but can be used for other electronic connections.

  10. Tom! It's commendable that you spend so much time advocating for CMs wages. The rent prices are so exorbitantly high. Should gas prices flux again, so many people would be pushed over an edge. Disney's inability to recognize this and so many other financial issues of their CMs is abhorrent! Thank you for really being on the right side of your fans and cast members.
