  1. Can you imagine RDJ smirking, mumbling and bad eye acting destroying a classic like Vertigo? Yikes. The guy has never been able to do anything well beside IM. Never. All you need to do is be stupefied by his Doc Doolittle & stick that hooey into Vertigo.

  2. againt this is why state rights are important.
let them set their own rules. like minimum wage instead of the federal government forcing their way on to other states.

  3. Damn Grace you don’t like Vertigo? That’s not a great take. I’m still suspect of your movie critic acumen but love your energy. Sight and Sound which is THE most respected critics poll has had Vertigo in the top 5 movies of all time the last 50 years. I get so frustrated with your movie reviews lol

  4. I'm with you, Psycho (fav film!), Rear Window, and The Birds are my favs. So I am fascinated at the thought of Robert Downey Jr doing a Vertigo remake…the Psycho remake was awful.
Downey Jr could do it, but they gotta get that cinematography and tenseness right. That's a challenging film to attempt to remake, I am curious to watch.

  5. Oh wow. Grace and I share the same unpopular opinion about Vertigo and North by Nothwest. Rope and Rear Window are my favorite Hitchcock movies.

  6. People just don't know just how attractive Lucille Ball was before she went into comedy and started wearing all of that makeup. I listened to those tapes Lucille Ball did for a biographer in the 1970s talking about her early life in Hollywood. American Movie Classics had them on their website in 2020. And she was basically a stunt woman when she got to Hollywood. And one producer thought that she was too pretty to be doing stunts, so she became his "protege". I'm being kind by using the word (protege).

  7. I’m getting 14$hr at Walmart, and that’s higher than the Cashiers who make 12$. Given our region a reasonable wage for my entry level position should be 17-18$hr. They’ve told us for about 12months that we were gonna get a raise to 16$ and they say this every few months and it never happens. Walmart has no union and are a duly against them.

  8. Love Alfred Hitchcock movies, especially the lady vanishes, vertigo is great cinematography and music. Would love to see what they could do with it. I think we need more film noir and classic films. I think period piece or modern could be interesting.

  9. Vertigo is a masterpiece, the story of an unbelievable obsession, I took an English course on it based on a very interesting book that explains all the symbolism expressed in the scenes and I loved it even more, Not talking about the wonderful music….I love Robert Downing Jr. but I don't think he's right for the part, Jimmy Stewart's character is a man in crisis, whose dizziness is a consequence of a bad accident at work that made him retire, ` vulnerable, that's why he falls in love with Madeleine, I don't know if Robert Downing Jr. can express this vulnerability… maybe I've seen him in too many Iron Man movies and I identify him with Tony Stark.. I think Hitchcock's films are untouchable, the very idea of a remake of Vertigo gives me the creeps….
