Alex's theory is the only which that makes sense. Rob probably wanted it to be wholly in black & white but studio interference got it colored and fucced
It looks like it's trying to be like an episode of the show, warts and all.
But the colors seem a bit overwhelming.

Geez, if Rob Zombie wanted to waste money, he shoul've just invested it in donating it to any charity.
As a big fan of the original series, I honestly think this looks beyond horrible.
Cinematography and Acting quality is equivalent to a local town mattress/furniture commercial. I wanted something like 1313 Mockingbird lane with Jerry O'Connell version. That was a good modern day version of the Munsters
Pretty sure the original Munsters TV series didn't stay black and white the whole time I think later seasons were in color
If there is a definition for cringe, it would be the trailer for The Munsters. GOD it looks awful!
The Haunted House I had in my backyard looks better then this and it was all made by my dad lol.
Oddly enough the black and white redo of the trailer actually makes it not as bad. But my spider sense is telling me gonna be a trainwreck

I appreciate the style choice. It does look like Munster's. I have no issues with any of the actors. Again they look very much like the originals. The humor in some spots seems munstery and even a nice homage to the original. But I don't like the portrayal of Herman or Lily. Herman is portrayed too much like an idiot when in actual fact he was decently intelligent but forgets that in the end he is a monster while Lily comes off as too love struck. Grandpa was fine for the most part from what I saw but it IS just the trailer. Maybe it's more faithful than it seems. I hope it is. I may have been born and grew up in the 90s but I grew up with re-runs of the Munsters and I have the complete series on DVD. So I am hopeful that the movie will be better than it looks on the surface but with how Hollywood has been of late Im not holding my breath. It would be nice to get good old entertainment again though.

Looks like Rob Zombie spent $2 Million on the movie, and pocketed the other $38 Million.
If this was a 80s 70s film I would accept the cheap aesthetic that this movies shows however its 2022 and this looks like cheap student production film for a school
