Presumably this pathetic council is going to insist that its employees turn up for a normal work day on Australia Day. If they don't recognise it as a public holiday, then its workers should be working that day.
I hate wokeness as much as anyone on Sky. Asking if Australia Day should be moved from January 26 isn't an act of self loathing or hating the country. That's utter garbage. It's an act of compassion towards our Aboriginal brothers and sisters for whom that day represents immense pain and suffering. What would we lose if we moved Australia Day to Federation Day? How would you feel if, on the day that you were house invaded, robbed and beaten, the descendants of those robbers celebrated the event, year after year? I repeat, I LOATHE wokeness.
