Classes are imo unnecessary. Everything gets much simpler if you break it down like LOL already has. Offense, Defense, Utility (ODU). Pick whatever weapon you want, there's really only a couple, (swords, clubs, fists, pistols, rifles, magic scepters), then use the trees for ODU to specialize. They can expand those trees to include anything you'd like, fire magic? it's in the offense tree, berserker healing? defense/utility.
Trees they're the simplest mechanic. =P
Well shit ghostcrawler is working for riot so sure he will fuck up pvp and talent balance.

The classes and regions of the LOL remind me a lot of Guild Wars Lore
I think they can use the balance trick they are using on LoL, rotate the unbalance to make all classes powerfull for a bunch of time and make funny play in your stile
I personally hate it when they make 5 "different" classes and the only thing that changes is the name and skin.
Do we even know for sure that Riot's MMO will even be tied to the world of League of Legends and won't be an entirely different thing, or are people just assuming that because they're Warcraft/WoW/FF fan boys and think all companies will base an MMO around a prior game.

they should make a ninja class with specs, shen tank , zed dps , kennen caster type dps, akali trickster type a class system like that would be great
other classes ofc like for ex. garen spec tanky dps brawler, draven ranged dps etc they can make this really cool if they put the effort in it

I think it's valid to recognize that many people will min-max, because they want to be powerful and make the little numbers go up, but that you don't want to play with those kinds of people. Just like you probably don't want to raid with a person who has chosen the "wrong combination" for roleplay reasons, or whatever. People aren't necessarily saying "min max is bad", they're saying that min-max is bad for **them**, and that they would rather play in an environment where it doesn't exist. Neither approach is "right" or "wrong," it's just a preference.

Zauns pretty much take tren, but instead of traditional tren, it’s if tren was on tren

You lost me at Factions wars. Alliance vs Horde was one of the fundamental things that made WoW interesting, the same with Rift. So the moment I find out there wont be Demacia vs Noxus I will immediately lose interest because whats the point of playing an LoL game were Noxus and Demacia arent at each others throats? Like can we stop making games where everyone holds each others hands?
Asmon love ya but get more familiar with Tolkein, 1) he's passed away so obv no new content coming out 2) first book/lore in cannon is the Silmarillion, reads like a chapter from the Bible but more fun, check it out. Thanks, keep up the great work.

maybe certain weapons can give you the same moves but different visuals making you roleplay a certain class,
So for example ionian weapons will give you wind effects and a different animation but move hits the same.
I wasn’t excited for a race until he started with Minotaurs. I was mentally yelling “let’s goooo!” In D&D I played a Minotaur barbarian with a gladiator background and shaman roots he didn’t find out about until gaining his freedom. Was, by far, my most favorite character I’ve made.
