I think that healer's kid is probably son of halbrand. When galadriel says he is king and can help, Halbrand says he may not escape blood oath taken by his ancestors. Now when that kid holds the sword his blood kind of the recreates the sword. If I understand it kind of literally shows his blood ie bloodline fulfilling the oath by regenerating sword by blood and binding the person to the oath
Heres a crazy idea about the dark elf Adar??? What if Maeglin survived after Tuor threw him off the wall/ cliff at the fall of Gondolin. That would fit quite nicely i think.
Elendil is supposed to be very tall (7/8ft) . Even the women on the streets of Numenor kind of dwarf Galadriel as she escapes. Thus far only Halbrand is around the same height as elendil. Could he be Sauron because of this??? Also – think of episodes 1 and 2 build up and Galadriel chasing after Sauron and even turning down Heaven in order to find him. Then suddenly in the dark waters – she finds him (unknowingly to her or the audience – untill much later in the season(s)……been under her nose all along since her sacrifice of Heaven). Also ominously, when in the water she comes across the water serpant (symbolism !) which turns out to be a ship (disguise ???) and and then when serpent attacks and she is cast into the water and tries to swim away the same thing happens again : first we think its a serpent (symbolism) and then it turns out to be Halbrand/Sauron (disguise) on his own.
This dude straight up mispronounced almost every single one of the franchise's proper nouns, even when he showed clips 5 seconds earlier where someone pronounced it correctly
I think that the man the Hobbits are helping and that fell from the sky is Gandalf and not Sauron. I think that Sauron is Adar. At least I think so. We will see.
I just dont understand the level of hate this show is getting, the writing is not the best but it's also far from being the worst as they say, I understand how some people might dislike it a bit and those are the ones who are way to heavily involved with Tolkien's lore and any little changes might upset them but this show doesnt deserve the level of fan criticism its getting. If someone wants to give me a decent argument on why this shows sucks as much as people say it, I'm all ears. I'm familiarized with Tolkien's lore but not at an expert or obsessed level, so I would love to know
Halbrand is definitively destined to become a bad guy. I also think he's either the Witch-King of Angmar or Sauron himself. Sauron could even tempt him by giving him "a powerful ring that could help you reclaim your kingdom from the orcs", which would be a Sauron-level kind of twisted. The bearded conselor to the regent Queen of Numenor seems to be the last king of Numenor who was duped by Sauron. And he me also be given a ring to "survive the fall of Numenor and be granted immortality".
I think the stranger with the brandy foots is a blue wizard it is mentioned they 'd they appeared in middle Earth during the 1st age and then returned again With gandoff saramon and radagast
I only watched the LotR movies so I'm enjoying the show without knowing how bad it might be if you know the books or whatever. Great review, of course I'm confused about all the Tolkien stuff but super interesting 😄
