  2. Author of the Gene Extractor Tiers here. It was really cool to see my mod mentioned here, thanks Noobert 🙂

A feature worth mentioning about the mod is that it will prioritize genes you don't have singles of. That means that if don't sit around waiting for that one single gene that refuses to extract forever.

Also, the upgraded version can extract archite genes.

Finally, the mod options lets you configure almost everything, including stuff like how often it gives you single gene packs, multipacks, and somewhat absurd "megapacks". Also stuff like frequency of extraction, nutrition, use, etc.

I originally made the mod with the dual purpose of requiring less micro-management and being able to function as a good alternative to the Gene Ripper for colonies that are a bit less, uh, murderous. That said, huge labs full of abducted xenohumans in vats might have some concerning thematic vibes too. 😀

  3. I want to give a shout out to an amazing mod I found recently called Corpse Children. There is actually a whole pack. I use it alongside Rimworld of Magic to make the perfect necromancer run. It is super op. Pretty much you can create a pawn using a corpse. You are not raising the corpse but making a whole new entity. The new corpse child has scars based on how the previous corpse died. They can replace their body parts with any corpse that has the pieces they're missing.

Corpse children can't gain skills normally. They must eat the brains of a character with better skills then they have. One of the second mods in the pack changes this so they do gain exp on top of that. You can also eat people to steal their traits and also their passions. The next mod in the pack makes it so corpse children can improve limbs by using limbs of their enemies. Kinda like bionics but you use a corpse to get that +manipulation. The last mod in the pack makes it so all undead created by the raise dead spell in RoM makes them undead corpse children. It is so awesome building up my army of undead corpse children and slowly improving them. A true necromancer experience. The more enemies I vanquish the stronger my army gets.

It is a bit op as some of their abilities only eat the brains so I can eat the brain and raise the body. Double dippin!
