This full playthrough is played on Losing Is Fun set to 500% difficulty without pausing and without using a killbox. No additional mods to help battle Perry Persistent were added aside from Camera Plus.

This playthrough was recorded LIVE on Twitch. As such, I am speaking with chat throughout (even though this is edited). Videos without chat will be listed as ‘Youtube Exclusive’.

*No Pause – I am using a mod that disables pause in every portion of the game. This means it is impossible for me to pause with a key press and the game will not pause during events or trade, making things much more difficult.

** Losing is Fun set to +500% is the hardest difficulty in unmodded RimWorld

  2. I would Claim that in very Early Game a Simple Trap Tunnel is often Safer than any Killbox. Because it doesnt risk any Injury to your at this point basicly unamoured and underequipped Colonists ^^
    And against Normal Raids nothing beats the Oven xD

    But Yeah. I can See how just having Several Layers of Walls and then Picking off Enemies from the Flank while they Work through it. Or Surrounding them when they have a Breach and then Killing them as they come into the Breach Peacemeal could actually be better than a Killbox in Early Game.
    After all the Killbox is meant to Focus the Enemy into one Spot and prevent a Melee where the Enemy due to its Larger Numbers Overwhelms the fewer Colonists.
    But until the Raids actually have these Numbers and Weaponry to Force them quickly through a Wall. This method is likely better.

    Albeit I also think one should mention that not Every Player is as Calm and Used to Fighting in Rimworld as You 😛
    So especially Newer Players might Struggle with a Method where they dont have a clear and easy action plan and actually need to respond and take action. ^^
