  1. Made it thru ok and just talked to my parents who stayed at a friends house and they are good too . When the roads clear I’ll go check on my celebration place to make sure no major damage . Really impressed with the stability of the contemporary and felt much safer than my little place in Celebration . Also talked to a few cast members and Disney put them all up in rooms and paid them for 48 hours straight even when off the clock which I thought was a proper thing to do . Hope everyone is ok and continues to ride this out

  2. FYI: It was 1 MPH less than a CAT 5 when it hit landfall. It was wind of 80 – 90 mph as it went through us in Valrico! Truly scary as we were praying our roof and siding would stay attached to the house. We had three neighbors lose their roofs!

  3. Our family wanted to enjoy our daughters 6th birthday in Disney World. Die to the hurricane our family home on Ft. Myers Beach is damaged, the fights are cancelled as the airport is shut down, we are not allowed to enter the island yet, our cars are broken by the hurricane. So no chance to go to Orlando for her birthday! Disney World and their suppliers are not willing to cancel or refund or postpone the 4 tickets for approximately 600€!!!!! They set a traumatized family under additional mental and financial stress and pain. They keep the money though we can’t take that date! Disney World‘s image as a family oriented and empathetic company is a sick joke!!!🤮🤮🤮🤮😢😢😢😢😢😡😡😡😡😡

  4. What happened to the homeless people during the hurricane?
“Disney World Has a Homeless Problem Due to Rise in Housing Costs. Some are locals, some are Walt Disney World employees, some are young, some are old, and all are homeless just outside of the Park's walls.Jul 14, 2022”

  6. Leave it to Disney to have lines built efficiently. Best place to bunker down is Disney. I would love to see them do an interview/behind the scenes for storm prep. and emergency prep. Their logistics must be on point!

  8. Hi,
I think riding out the hurricane 🌀 at the contemporary Diney hotel was pretty cool, most buildings in Disney are strong 💪 and pretty and stable, it was good the Hurricane didn't hit at full force.
The rain hitting the windows 🪟 at the contemporary hotel was pretty cool, thanks for sharing the video, excellent coverage 👍
