  1. Why do so many motorcyclists basically look for people, drivers to yell at? When I noticed myself doing this I said to myself, 'You got a bike to have fun…reacting like this is not fun.' After that, my rides were way more enjoyable.

  2. Can't imagine how terrifying that must have been for the first bloke. Literally holding on sliding next to his ride, knowing in the back of his mind his bike was about to be totaled.

  3. You still riding that Indian Dan Dan? What are you looking at next? I have an iron883 and I’m at that point where you were where I love it but am wanting something else, like a road king. Did you test ride before you found your current bike?

  4. Damn guys, why you always “surprised” by this wobles? Just not hold this handle bars as you last resort. You should be told at MSF school that you holding your bike with legs not with arms. Once you understood that concept, no wobles happens to you whatsoever(maybe if you trying to play street Rossi on 200mil/h, then it can happen considering road conditions, but for regular commuters, if you not holding to the handlebars like on bicycle, you be safe at any speed). If I hear someone telling that he catches wobling – I’m consider him as complete rookie who don’t want to learn how to ride properly, only learned how to open throttle.
    P.S
Yes, it might happen also if your bike wasn’t in a good condition. Please make sure you check every part including suspension before starting a season.

  5. i like to cruise, been riding since 1975 and im still going, i never got stupid on a bike, thats why i'm old now, and i'm still going strong, i never went over 75 or 80 miles an hour and that is on the interstate, for the love of god, slow the hell down

  6. Hey Dan, nice work with the vids. There's a certain city "culture" with roundabouts 3:54 which is basically follow the vehicle in front because once you're in the roundabout others have to give way. The other lesson for riders is to take the middle position in your lane so the vehicle behind doesn't feel "invited" to lane share. The rider did nothing wrong.

  7. Dan is a lifesaver. BUT, my Personal Protection Equipment is my brain, that tells me motorcycle riding on the street is fun but just way too dangerous, given the many factors beyond my control (i.e. animals, weather – rain, snow, cold, crazy car drivers, road problems, sun in eyes, blind spots, blind corners, blind and drunk car drivers), etc. etc. etc. The fun is not worth it anymore, for this motorcyclist. But your results may vary. Maybe you can predict a potential crash, steer, brake, down shift, rev-bomb and honk your way around these problems and live to ride another day? Me? No, I can't and didn't. I ran into a Lazyboy recliner on I-70 at 70+mph, at night, right after passing a semi., who narrowly avoided running me over. Escaped injury due to wearing actual PPE, and dumb luck. The road surface is like a big grinder against your body! Gear can't and doesn't always protect you. Not realizing you're SO much better protected in a car, w/ metal surrounding you, airbags and seatbelt just in case, and choosing some safer hobby / passion / transportation to make your day and tomorrow brighter and more likely experienced, is ludicrous.

  8. Most people don't set their suspension and keep it factory settings and don't change the fork oil. Can be a reason why so many tank slappers happen on the road when speed gets high. Why is it a great job at 3:38 – cruiser was way too close and has to be prepared for someone up front to make a sudden stop or sudden slow down. They weren't using proper awareness at all and carried too much speed when it was clear riders were already slowing.

  9. Dan Dan the fireman. You are the man but you miss some things here n there. The speed wobbles. Almost every single video I see on here that are speed wobbles, they are started because of the rider. They almost all start the wobble from jerking the throttle so hard when shifting. It's like going 120 and having someone punch one side of your bars as hard as they can. They wanna shift fast and are going fast and don't realize how hard they jerk the throttle. 8 out of 10 wobbles are that. The 9th is something broken or worn, the 10th is a bump.

  10. I just wanna say thank you so much for making these videos, I‘m just starting off on a 1992 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 and this helps me a lot to understand how to handle different situations. Dropped my bike twice at a gas station and I’m still building confidence to get on the big roads but these videos help.

  11. Hey Dan, I’ve watched you for awhile now. Thanks for reacting and featuring the video. Typically I’m a very defensive, smart rider… haha we screw up sometimes

  12. Every single of these videos is either:
-somebody going way over safe speeds
    -going in the wrong lane
    -not leaving enough braking distance
    -overtaking from the right
-going between cars where obviously you shouldn't be going between cars

Rarely do I see any actual vis major where all you can say is "shit just happened"

  13. The "sportbikes" you see on the roads today were only seen on the racetrack prior to the mid-80's. After that they were sold to anyone on the street. Most people rode upright position "standard" bikes. I think they should have remained on the track in the hands of professional racers. There's too many nuts posting their videos of standing on the seat wheelies mixed in with highway traffic usually wearing t-shirt,shorts &sneakers.

  14. I don’t like cops but I bet Dan would’ve man a good cop because of his demeanor; not egotistical, just wants people to know and do the right things. He’s an easy guy to listen to and learn from 👍🏾
