Richard Hammond has a bought a 6.0-litre V8 TV legend

A new car has entered Richard Hammond’s garage, and we reckon you’ll recognise this one. It’s big, yellow, and fairly pointless. But at least it has a V8!

  1. for costumisation: Not sure how the front end ist build (constructed), but you could try remove the front fenders, and making it like an open wheeler in the front, like Plymouth Prowler for (the best) example 😁

  2. I’d paint it pink like your Minsk in Vietnam. It too has a hard hat on like you did, it broke down near the end like the Minsk did. Honestly hot pink and shiny that truck would be quite the statement.

  3. I may be being an abomination here but I would start by crushing it down into a small cube then smelting it down and turning it into some nice rolled steel. Then I would turn it into a classic open topped off-road Jeep remake..

Or maybe something that aims for the last somehow without doing all the first, first. ⚰🎠🪚

  4. If it doesn't involve a supercharger and side pipes, I'll be disappointed. My uncle has been driving a black one for years as a daily in the summer. It's actually a reliable car.

  5. so, this reminds me of driving up and down the California coast on the 1 going surfing. so you could have some fun with it and play to some history and paint it like an old "Woody" and for fun see if you can get a surf board on top.

  6. I liked the 'full size Hot Wheels toy' suggestion.. So look for inspiration to the Hot Wheels collection and do that. Probably something with more chrome and flames. 🙂 Maybe even partner with Mattel and get to use the Hot Wheels logo… (Although corporate dudes tend to be protective of where logos end up.. that'll take years.)

  7. Why don't you make the pick up element work? Lop the lid off the back, and turn it into a soft top so the roof can fold away taking up less space liberating the loading bay

  8. The SSR is going to be collectable. Built in small volumes, was never meant to be a mass market vehicle in the first place. I would supercharge it, do Rims/Tires/Suspension/Exhaust, and the outside, I would restore to its original glory. Sometimes keeping it simple, is the right way to go. Glad you saved it👍
