As a dumb idiot who watches YouTube reviews of movies of people who know absolutely nothing about directing, hearing an actual director point out where your eyes are supposed to focused on based on the shot is actually pretty cool and revealing.
I dont ever think of movies like this when I’m watching and it’s cool to see how much the directors want to and are able to control the viewers attention.

I've watched four out of Johnson's six movies so far and I gotta say the man's impressive. All four are great movies, well worth a rewatch. Now I just gotta check out Brick and Brothers Bloom…

Worst movie ive seen in a long time. I liked the first, this one is boring.
The movie was underwhelming and loosely wound. It let my expectations down.
Wow… I wouldn't think about half of these things in this way. It's a lot more involving than I realised. The most I'd do is stage them where they are introduced individually, and are then grouped in their associative relationships. Beyond that, I'd just put them where they fit. I wouldn't even consider focal points or camera moves telling part of their stories. Amazing.

He gets his hate for last jedi and whilst I didnt enjoy what he did is clearly a good writer and director and I enjoy writer/director combos. Both knives and and looper have been great fun
