Revisiting my first photography project | Leica Monochrom | POV

Join Sarah as she revisits a couple of rural shows, three years after she published her ‘Showfield’ project on northern agricultural shows.

The aftermath of the pandemic, an outbreak of avian flu, and the soaring cost of fuel had affected the size of the shows, but Sarah still found those characters and moments that were such a big part of her first project.

We still have a couple of copies of the book that accompanied the project, so if you would like one, please follow the link below. First come first served!!

Technical:

As always, Sarah used a Leica M Monochrom with her 28mm Summicron-M ASPH lens for the new photographs.

All of her images were edited in Adobe Lightroom by Jeff using his SilverChrome profiles.

  1. Reminds me of the pictorial I did on a small town auction in Paxton, FL, for a small weekly newspaper back in 2007. Left the newspaper the next year as the economy tanked and the paper's revenues did the same. But it was a fun gig for the decade that is lasted.

  2. As ever the life of Mr and Mrs average out enjoying life so well captured by you. I also liked the sheep shearing set with the timely capture of sheep looking annoyed at been shed of their wool.
