  1. Symphony X is one of my favorite prog metal bands. I didn't follow Michael Romeo's solo albums for some reason until now. So I'm looking forward to hearing what Pete has to say about this release.

Divide & Conquer, Destroyer, Maschinenmensch are pretty cool.

  2. Michael Romeo’s talents are on full display here. Legendary!

To me this record sounds like a follow-up to the sound SX went for in Iconoclast. It’s amazing how much of the identity of that band comes from Romeo alone, and while Dino does an amazing job, Russell Allen has the personality that makes a difference. Can’t wait for the new SX, probably one of the bands that never got as big as they deserved. Some of the best metal ever.

  3. My AotY right now. Mike killed it, Dino is amazing, JD and John are solid as ever. It sounds inspired, fresh, familiar and really just checks all my boxes. Feels like MR took what he learned from part 1 and used that to get to the next level on part 2.

I've listen through this probably 20 times by now and I'm not sick of it yet. Hybrids is probably my favorite from the album at the moment but honestly everything is killer and I never skip on song or ever want to on a listen through. Can we get a part 3 with some more Dino by chance?

  4. I am really liking this album, benn playing it quite a bit the past few weeks. I think it's better than Pt. 1 ( still great), and Dino's vocals do help with that a bit. I can't wait to finally see Symphony X late next month.

  5. I don't like the fact the best parts of this one and the previous could have made a KILLER Symphony X album. No disrespect to these great singers, but Russ is da man. Unless Romeo is not getting along well with the SX dudes of course… I expect they'll sing a couple with SX on the road. Maybe the instrumental mixes help in that way? I would buy a box set of all-instrumental YES. Get on it, Inside Out!
