Jamie , you and Sherpa are such a blessing to each other, and you’re very loving to Sherpa and, maybe in his own way, is very loving to you also 😊
He loves home dad 💛💛💛💛💛🇺🇸
I’m glad Sherpa is enjoying his outdoor roof.
It’s been a crazy week … put my 17 year old cat down and work was crazy… so hard
Sherpa isn't getting on he was waiting on you're old ass walking. 😂 Sherpa started running when you're old ass caught up to him.
Home sweet home❤️🐾
I think Sherpa is at a point in his life where he wants to be at home, with his stuff, and his yard, and the birds. He was on the go for so long that he's ready to slow down and relax and not always be out.
Sherpa would rather be home in his new shed!! He LOVES IT OUT THERE!💯☝️🐾🐕💖💞
The orange with a candle is a "Christingle" (Christ's light).
That's the first time I've heard Sherpa speak in a while. He must be feeling better.
Sherpa is a dog after my own heart, home is best.
He's absolutely gorgeous
Sherpa's garden is perfect and he knows it!!! The sea air perks him up and he digs the sand 😉 lol 😊 You've made a home and its irresistible!!!! 💜💜💜
Oranges with a candle in the middle, a red ribbon around the equator and 4 sticks with sweets on symbolising North, South, East and West – a Christingle, given at the start of Advent.
Get a composting cone for your garden. Put all the veggie and fruit peals, and browned leaves, and fish in, to make compost. it rots faster in the cones, then a box.
Sherpa's lucky to have a Dad who cares so much about what he needs and wants. You're a great dad! Just love me some Sherpa! 💗
Nothing like home ,love that sherpa loves the shelter you made him ❤
He still loves the beach. The sea ar is good for him. Home is where the heart is though. That shelter is gold as far as Sherpa is concerned.
You mention treats sherpa goes faster bless him
Yes that does look like a lovely place to live. I'm on my way! 😄
Orange with candle in is a Christingle – traditional at Christmas.
Hi Dad and Sherpa I had forgotten about your channel for a while. I wasn't sure until I saw Sherpas name I remembered your channel. I'm glad I found your channel again. Hope you both are well. Love From Deana in New Zealand ❤
My favorite Senior Citizen Shirpa🩷💓😍you are so sweet. Those older gentle dogs are sooo wonderful. They take life a little slower and need more time to do stuff and you have to really be aware of how much they can do with out becoming exhausted 🐿️🦔🌮🦴🏆
It's called christingle ❤
All sherpa needs is his garden and you ❤
Dear Jamie and Sherpa, how absolutely magical to be returning home and to see familiar trees on a nearby hill! I spent many years taking the ferry from Belgium to England and loved to go on deck to see the White Cliffs of Dover welcoming me back. Btw, is his lack of voice due to his thyroid problems? Love to both Teresa Xx
Have you thought of a cot for in the shelter? When it rains and it gets into the soil and he lays down, it will hurt his muscles, and he will feel acky.
Maybe just day trips occasionally. He loves home and so do you.❤
Good traveler companions know when to call it and enjoy being home! 👍🐺😎🙏
On or about time marker 5:28, there’s mention of stinky trash.
I’ve had a system for decades, whereby I avoid stinky trash — can’t remember when I’ve had a problem with that.
For one, I have a freezer container in which I put food scraps. While the frozen food scraps can be put in the regular trash on the day it is to be picked up, I like to keep an EARTHWORM COMPOSTING BIN in a corner of the yard (or garden).
I’ve never had a problem with smells because the earthworms take care of that.
There are instructions out and around on how to keep an earth worm bin.
It can be an enclosed container, such as a plastic bin, but one can also take extra large bricks (such as cinder blocks), make a little walled enclosure for them. The bricks stay loose — not mortared together or anything like that. They just stack.
The walled enclosure can even be moved around over time to replenish the soil underneath it, in different areas.
The instructions I used from decades ago recommended placing a layer of chicken wire at the base in order to keep little burrowing animals out.
I’m not necessarily a good one to give all of the specific instructions — I’ve mostly been just an isolated DIYer so I suggest going to the internet for more specifics.
But generally, one places a mixture of things like leaves and shredded cardboard in there, and dirt (there are ratios of how much of each but they are very general and it’s hard to go wrong).
It might help to have a hard plastic, fork type garden tool to lift the mixture to bury the food scraps. A metal fork might be tend to be too harsh for the earthworms, so plastic is probably better.
A light wooden plank can be placed on top of it all, then maybe a rock on top of that to hold the plank down from strong winds.
Don’t spend a whole lot of money on earthworms! (Unless maybe it’s scraps from an entire restaurant, and a quick solution is needed?). The earthworms replenish themselves naturally based on the amount of food scraps they are given. Their population will adjust naturally.
If one actually has a farm, one might research Ray Achuleta’s Soil Conservation (Academy, I think it is called). He has studied things like the causes of the American dust bowl of the 1930s. Even if one does not have a farm, Ray’s insights are very enlightening about soil science.
I prefer the loose stacked brick enclosure over the plastic bins. The bricked one is virtually no maintenance outside of adding the scraps and maybe a little water from time to time, if needed.
If anyone is interested, have fun with it! We seem to need to have some backyard (or garden) fun in these days of bad things in the news and all.
Love your home
Sherps happy place ❤
I'm surprised you took the stinky bags in the jeep and not the van 😊
Kiara hoe passed away 6 months ago at 18 years, didnt like to go out either when she went old. Het garden, her own bed and the daily routine mad her happy. You dont have to leave and do adventures for our sake. I adore just watchin sherpa in his garden. That makes me happy. So dont worry aboit it. I will not desert your channel because you dont go out anymore. Sherpa is to valuble… ❤❤❤
Caring vibes sent to you two and sister Sara.
How old is sherpa now
hello there Jamie and Sherpa
I have great empathy with Sherpa. I like being at home too ❤
Love seeing him at the beach.
Thank you Jaime for taking Sherpa to the beach, that is an old church, great history in England. Would be a fun place to do paranormal investigation. Sherpa showed some spring in his step and that was great to see.
Christingle, candle in an orange.
Good decision Jaimie . Being home & happy & comfortable is much nicer all round . 👍🏻✋💯🥰
Aww Sherpa still loves the beech.
