  1. I must say, Resi has found a really good balance of reconciling their older games with their new releases. Specifically in regards to presentation, UI, perspective and mechanics. Especially as their games span several technology generations, I respect how they've managed to build a consistent Resident Evil aesthetic.

It's nice to see where there's so many petitions for older games to be "adapted" for modern audiences. Persona 4 Golden springs to mind as I've recently read articles criticising Atlus for not censoring or adapting the material during its re-release so that it doesn't offend gay or trans people (even though I think this is bullshit, as I've personally known those who have praised P4G for tackling this content at all.) Like all art, games deserve to be recognised as products of their time, not homogenised.

  2. After I finished watching all of the Back with the Bakers episodes I went back to watch season one of Prepare to Try for the 289th time, cause I clearly can't get enough of RKG. Got so happy seeing this upload, WE'RE BACK.

  3. I have been waiting for your reactions to 24:10 since the day this DLC dropped. You did not disappoint!

The reveal on MIchael's name might be one of my favorite parts of any episode of the show. Because it really is just a perfect storm of coincidence that you boys came up with the Michael Zaki thing all those years ago, continuing to use and expand what is admittedly a nonsensical but hilarious bit of nameplay until it became one of the true catchphrases and inside jokes of the company and community. And then the stars align and the RE8 developers just choose that name of all names to toss in.

It's what I love so much about this community, all the great jokes and references that take on a life of their own and help us viewers feel closer as a whole. Cause I tell you what, I doubt any other streamer and their audience could've gotten such a great laugh out of that one simple scene.

    Extra big cheers, Michaels
