Retailers globally stock up for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales

Retailers around the world are stocking up for next week’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

According to eCommerce platform provider Shopify, the high cost of living is expected to do little to suppress shoppers’ demand.

Shoppers last year spent $7.5 billion through Shopify-affiliated brands.

This year new research suggests 63 per cent of those customers expect to spend as much or more than they did last year

Despite the appetite for retail spending, tight economic conditions are still on the minds of shoppers, with over 75 per cent saying they cut back on day-to-day spending and were looking to Black Friday and Cyber Monday as a way of reducing the financial burden of Christmas.

  1. I don't want to burst his bubble but my family has decided this year we'll buy books and clothes for children and no presents for adults, but we will bring something each from our liquor cupboard to make each other cocktails on the day.
Speaking to other families they've made similar decisions.

  2. Retailers in Australia have taken the opportunity to quadruple the prices and put a 20% discount they really don't have any idea about Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales – 😆😆
