  1. It should be against the law for Canads postal workers to strike November 24 – December 24. Canada Postal "service" is needed for charities, small business, families who send gifts and cards, seniors, and everyone.

  2. When you have a highly sought after cushy job working for the government with great benefits and you still manage to complain. Cry me a river. If they aren't happy they can quit and go work in the private sector for a fraction of what they make and less benefits while motivated people looking for a better steady job can take their place. No sympathy here.

  3. The weekend delivery is a prime subject. Workers do not want part time people doing jobs full time could do, then why not split the shifts and run a 7 day work week with no over time ? I am sure the workers would not like that either….the workers want more than what is available. It doesn't seem like they will be happy with anything except outrageous demands. Perhaps it is time to close it down and either start fresh or privatize it. I know there is an unlimited amount of people who would do the work for far less and not worry which day they worked.

  5. Gouvernment is at fault .they have lots of time before canada post workers contract runs out. The longer the gouvernment goes on the more tax payers money is being mis used. They will use helicopters to bring mail on the roof . That's quit a cost and lots of over time when workers go back to work to catch up and the gouvernment hires scab employee while on strike .
Gouvernment does this all the time on every gouvernment job

  6. This is a disgrace. It's been a constant thing over the years. Too bad people didn't walk out like this when they were force vaccinating people snd threatening their livelihoods. What a backwards society. And christmas, at that. Shameful.

  8. …….Canada Post has never been able to negotiate a contract with CUPW. The management has always relied on the government to legislate the workers back to work. And then they legally steal their workers pay and benefits. Under Harper they froze the wages for 10 years and stole the half the benefits. And yet they still lost money. Canada Post has a management problem
and not a worker problem. In the private sector these people would all be fired for stupidity. They bought all these step vans that are too wide and too long for the roads in downtown Toronto. They bought electric vehicles that hold letters and not parcels. The public has no idea how they waste the taxpayers money. Very poorly managed…….
