  1. I would encourage you to put a first coat of sealant on your tiles after Sergei 'sands' them and even before you are finished grouting them. Then when finished with the floor you do a second coat of sealant on everything.
    Your floors are lovely.

  2. To keep cats from using your little garden as their litter box, there are mats with little spikes that deter them–you could cut them to fit an open space of dirt. Also there is a spray. A bag of granular mace also.
You will need to dig up like 4 in of the dirt in the space the cats have been using and take to the dump. Then get some top soil and compost before staying sprinkling or laying down the mats to deter the cats.

  3. Inside your head you always knew the tiles would look lovely like they do. It just took awhile to find the perfect grinder. That grinder is an industrial grade beast! No wonder Sergi loves using it. It is truly effective – and not just for 8 minutes at a time! 😳
The best part is to see your at-home slippers πŸ₯Ώ on the smooth new floor. When the tiles are sealed they will become a permanent part of your house’s history. It took both you and Sergi to accomplish this task. And many more to come.
Finally Cherie and Bruce are falling in love. It is so sweet after she did not want to let him into her heart or home for so long.

  4. Couldn’t you fill the corners with some kind of stone, perhaps in black. It would give the area a real elegant look. Ask a floor artist or designer who could point you to what would work. Just an idea.

  5. I know there are small cut tile pieces available as inserts for kitchen marble tiles can you go to a shop that specializes in old tiles to see if you can find them for the missing tile pieces?

  6. Well, that makes sense. I didn’t want to say anything about the uneven floor. πŸ˜‚ So much laborious work on this floor. Can’t wait to see the finished product!

  7. Maybe some ceramic tile in the color Jade or Ruby to put between those smaller tiles . Its looking so rustic and beautiful now. keep going. You are almost there.

  8. Maybe on the feature tile area in the hallway you could put some marble or thick cut coloured glass made to measure in the voids around the edges. You could see if it works for you by cutting out pieces of painted foam [from your packing] and placing them in the voids to give you an idea as to what it would like. I've seen it done in other Italian villas and churches. Whatever you do it's going to look great.

  9. Alla, look at the charity shops for some tiles that you can use as accents in the tiny triangle spaces.

I look forward to your videos every day! It’s my favorite channel on YouTube!

  10. The floor just gets better and better. I agree with other comments that a ceramic tile would look amazing in the triangle gaps. Maybe you have some black tiles left over from the shower that you could cut to fit. Will frame the beautiful panel like a picture. Well done both of you

  11. The marble / granite cuts you got for free from that place might look good in the pantry . It’s all coming together. Alla please tell us your plan for the cabinets and sink layout for the kitchen. πŸ₯‚

  12. Wow…the grouting combines with the sanding is working wonders! Beautiful! How about some black crystal in the entrance area corners and then accented by your grouting? Helps keep out the negatives energy! The sealant will also make a beautiful finish!

  13. Hi. I had terracotta tiles in my last home. I rented an industrial floor buffer and instead of using the buffing pad I used a sanding disc on the machine. Worked great and floor was done in a matter of hours.
