  1. Major problem is post office does not anticipate this occurring and have reserve boxes, so it can take months to get a new box. The post office should stock reserves, make them harder to break in, or offer delivery to a home box if installed.

  2. In this digital world, I'm surprised we don't have codes to unlock mail boxes and a camera that takes your photo 2 feet away. Or maybe go old school and put the mail slots back on front doors?

  3. These cluster boxes were installed by the developer and are private property just as the mailbox on your front porch or at your curb is your responsibility.

    Mailboxes are not the property of the USPS.

  4. Quickest solution is to put a hold on your mail and pick it up directly at the post office, but if too many folks start doing that, they will change the rules.
