  1. The cops need to enforce the speed limits. This has been going on since the 1980 when I was going from Norco to RCC in Riverside. Nobody does the speed limit and you never see a cop.

  2. How about contacting yr local & state politicians &
demanding stricter driver educational training both in the classroom & on-the-road for all drivers prior to even applying for or renewing a CA DL?

  3. I would pass by that street everyday as a kid to get to school. 8 years never once did my mom crash. Don’t blame the intersection blame the guy who was speeding going 100 in a school zone

  4. City officials will do lot of talking before anything is actually done. A stop light placed at Nordwood still wouldn’t stop people from speeding. Two big problems at this particular turn is going southbound (whatever direction white car was going) is the road is a incline making it a blind right turn, the other problem is the houses have small hill embankments and that makes for more of a difficult blind turn even worse; add on knuckleheads who drive fast through it.

  6. I drive through less money invested neighborhoods and have realized that many operating roads are very unsafe or have potholes the size of cars. However many locals there do not write their city councilman to address issues either.

People there should get training in how to contact the right people fix their streets and not be embarrassed or shy instead meet neighbors and get communities to sign petitions for instance. They need volunteer leaders from within to encourage these activities.

  7. Why can't the mother speak English? Not determinative proof that she's illegal, but a huge red flag. While the speeding driver is at fault and more traffic signals in the area is probably a good idea, I don't like the optics of an illegal demanding the City use public money to make their neighborhood better. I'm sure there's some citizens and/or legal residents demanding the same improvements though, but why make someone who can't speak English the face of that movement?
