  1. I have a theory why there are major story changes and Barry not appearing. It's wesker's perspective. He never met James Marcus' younger version so he had no idea what he looked like when Billy and Rebecca met them.

    Barry doesn't appear cuz wesker knows he was there but is salty over Barry's triple crossing.

    With RE3 he barely had any info aside from stuff like Nikolai, so he had no idea about Nemesis' final form.

    The new stuff is the most lore accurate because he saw most of it first hand or it is stuff we are seeing rather than wesker.

    As for story changes in Darkside Chronicles, it's the same with some changes due to Leon abridging it. Leon is less biased so he changes less than wesker does.

  2. I finished your whole playlist of RE videos today and was upset there were no more. But oh no here is another woop. Only because I've just finished it, you should try tormented souls and maybe some other RE inspired games

  3. The reason that I think they went with reusing outbreaks areas for Chronicles is that they didn't have to do as much creatively for it. Sure they had to make the areas in 3D but REmake, RE0, and Outbreak were all from the same generation of consoles so they had more stuff ready to be adapted into 3D. If they went with RE3's areas they would have to first reimagine them, then make the areas.

    But that's all an assumption

  4. 27:28 I'm fairly certain they still reused a lot of Outbreak's assets for Darkside, even down to Marvin's model. They just tweaked some textures but overall they're the same.
    But I will give Capcom credit for remaking the prerendered stages from Zero & REmake into full 3D environments. They even made a do-over of the Code: Veronica level, despite that being in 3D already. Maybe because the Dreamcast assets didn't age as gracefully as the PS2 ones from Outbreak.
