So now that you beat resident evil outbreak. I'll tell you two things.
One – as said before outbreak file 1 and 2 takes place in racoon city starting on September 24th before the events of resident evil 3 which is set on September 28th and during start of resident evil 2 which is set on September 29th. decisions decisions and one other scenario in file 2 is the final scenarios with racoon city being destroyed .that being said the senarios have a Canonical order, An example scenario 1 outbreak takes place around the same time as scenario 4 hellfire.
Two – all of the survivors make it out. Yes despite some of them turning into a zombie because they are scripted in game, example yoko. Storywise all of them survived in fact you can find a nod to them being alive in some resident evil games. Example you find a newspaper written by alyssa ashcroft in resident evil 7
27:18 there is a interesting thing to note about thanatos here is that at this moment he is pretty much now a bandersnatch from code veronica: has only one arm now and said arm can stretch, obviously much stronger and durable than a bandersnatch especially since thanatos can like jump 50 ft into the air.
also the ubcs member sneaking around is supposedly nicholai
Well done! The game seems to have a lot of things you could forget even exist by the time they're useful, like the gems, eyeglasses, or I'd even legit forgotten you'd brought those vials out with you for use at the very end (until you did it). I'm not sure how anyone would figure some of that stuff out blind.
Aside, I noticed you'd triggered the "Greg and Yoko" cut scene as part of your accomplishments, what with having her in the room when you caught up to the scientist. That felt like a bizarre loose end that wasn't addressed, so given how she also helped you round up the third vial somehow, I did a quick search.
For anyone else who was curious, Yoko Suzuki worked for Umbrella (hence the bit to start Scenario 2 where her ID card is taken away), including in Birkin's lab. But Greg did some operation to remove her memories of exactly what she'd helped with, hence his cryptic "It's been two years, but you might not know that." Supposedly her memories come back after the escape and she testifies against Umbrella, so it's good that you got her out. ^.-
How do we go from here? Simple: Sequel game 'Resident Evil Outbreak Files #2 🙂 There's a zombie elephant in it. Also I remember once watching a collection of the cutscenes, of both Outbreak games, but the person who make the video made it into pretty much a series, where every character went through different scenarios that made the most amount of sense.
Lastly, I forgot to do this for previous installments:
Mark: "Yeah?"
Barry: "Yeah?"
Justin Timberlake: "YEAH!"
Phelous: "No… But I want that Jill Sandwich."
A lot better then I expected after hearing a lot of bad things about it way back in the day. I can see how a poor connection or somebody with no idea what to do ruining games pretty badly having said that though.
He gets knocked down. And he gets up again. You never gonna keep him down.
Wait…did the Thanatos Tyrant do front flips when jumping through that window?!?! Also this level has sharks if you go a different route and I think higher setting.
Oh boy, I get to talk about weapons today! So the "rocket launcher" in this game is an AT4 and it is not a rocket launcher but a recoilless gun. What is the difference? Well rocket launchers shoot projectiles that have rocket boosts on the back, hence rocket. Recoilless guns (smooth inside barrel, no groves) and recoilless rifles (groves inside barrel) fire giant bullets that have no rocket engine on the back, just gunpowder blasting them out like a bullet in a gun. So it's shoulder fired man portable artillery really. The "recoilless" name is misleading, it doesn't mean there is no recoil, there's a hole in the back of these weapons so there is an even balance of pressure coming out both ends so the weapon doesn't flip or knock the shooter on their butt, thus making less recoile.
Many rocket launcher also use this method so that's why recoilless weapons get confused with them. Also, NEVER EVER STAND BEHIND SOMEONE FIRING THESE OR A ROCKET LAUNCHER! The backblast will kill you, the explosion is just as deadly in the back as the front.
It is possible the game designers did not know this distinction between weapons, on the other hand it is also possible they did but they also knew their audience would not know the difference and just called it rocket launcher as a simple way of telling the gamer "use this weapon on the boss!" since internet was still new. It's only in recent years that military games have started teaching people the difference. Hope you enjoyed this read, have a good day.
This game would have been better with live chat. I know a lot of fans want a remaster or third game as with a microphone this would have worked so much better, game was ahead of it's time. Also I'm sure you saw the RE4 remake news, per order means we finally can get the Sentinel-Nine in an RE games for the first time, the guns Leon was supposed to have in RE6 but it got cut but did show up in the RE: Vendetta film.
