  1. I didn't know that there is a DS port of RE1. Gotta say they did an amazing job working on this port. There's lots of cool features added into the game, and the way you use the stylus pen to do knife attacks is awesome. It's like looking at a MOD here.

Seriously that lady who reviewed RE1, is just being way too harsh on this port. Comparing towards George Lucas is just so bizarre. I mean this lady hates him for some reason. I guess she had a hard time playing an old survival horror game. Maybe that's why she gave a terrible review of it.

  2. Would have loved to see RE2 and RE3 ported to DS as well.

Growing up as a kid in the early 90s, it felt amazing to be able to play 3D games on a handheld for the first time, like Mario 64, RE1, etc. Stuff you'd only deamt about a decade earlier.

Granted, the DS was almost a full generation behind the PSP which released only about a year later, but even so, playing fully 3D games on a handheld was still an incredibly novel thing back in the day (regardless of whether it was PS1/N64 graphics, or full-blown 'almost PS2' graphics).

  3. "Your our Amazon, Jill" line was in the original or at least in the Directors Cut that I played.

I do think the game did come out too late. When it came out Resident Evil 1 Remake, Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 4 were already released. Resident Evil 1 Remake was such a huge improvement over the original. It's an unfortunate situation because the ideas in Deadly Silence were so much better than the original. Deadly Silence is the game the Directors Cut should have been.

I like the extra hands on puzzles, the knife having it's own button and not part of your inventory and the updated animations.

  4. No surprised XPlay hated it back in the day. XPlay had a hate boner for alot of games that in reality are not that bad. I think they just hate video games and didn't want to work in the positions they were working in.

  5. Resident Evil 2 64 and Resident Evil DS. Best games on android. Find myself still trying to get better at them from time to time over playing other games.

  6. Resident Evil Deadly Silence is my favourite one too! 2007 was 8 years old my first ever resident evil game! It was my childhood, been born a 90s kid in 1999 and playing this felt to me like the 90s again and I was living the 90s gaming experience.
Edit: when i was younger i got to play the multiplayer mode with 3 of us.

  7. I never owned a 3DS because I didn’t see a reason for a portable system after getting out of high school. I kind of wish I had gotten one to play in college, so I could’ve played this haha. I assume that’s why you got one man; because this looks bad ass! Great video as always.

  8. This was my first RE game that I've played, and I can agree with everything about this game. It's great. Plus, in that bad review clip, I kinda laughed when they dropped an ad for Metroid Prime Hunters. Like they were in a way saying, "This game sucks, play Prime Hunters. Instead, it's better." I mean, Prime Hunters is good, but wow.

  9. I wish that Capcom could make a prequel game about the STARS. Like a SWAT/ crackdown game where you fight crime and do cool helicopter missions. And then In the end, the mansion incident, and then the prequel – basically the remake of RE one

  10. Thank you, for a good video of what this poor offers. My roommate got a used car and actually found this game in it but I don't have the 'console' so yet to play it (assume it works) but this helped me to understand it should be worth it. Thanks again 😊

  11. Ubdoubtedly the best port of the original Resident Evil. I personally really like the updated models and animations. They just look so clean and smooth.

I remember that infamous G4 review. I think I even left a very angry comment on it here on YouTube. Dunno if that video is still. It's the reason why I never got the hype for Adam Sessler or as he's known nowadays, Adam Cesspool.
