[ Plot ]
Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game that follows the story of Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer, and Claire Redfield, a college student searching for her brother, as they navigate their way through the zombie-infested streets of Raccoon City.
The game takes place in September 1998, two months after the events of the original Resident Evil. The deadly T-virus has been unleashed on the city, transforming the population into flesh-eating zombies and other mutated creatures.
Leon and Claire meet in the city and quickly discover that they must fight to survive against not only the infected but also against the evil Umbrella Corporation, which is responsible for the virus outbreak. Along the way, they encounter other survivors, including police officers and civilians, who provide them with valuable information and assistance.
As they explore the city, Leon and Claire uncover the dark secrets behind the outbreak and the true extent of Umbrella’s involvement. They must also face off against powerful mutants created by the virus, including the terrifying Tyrant, a hulking monster with incredible strength and resilience.
The game offers multiple campaigns, allowing players to experience the story from both Leon and Claire’s perspectives, with different enemies and puzzles to solve. Ultimately, the fate of Raccoon City and its remaining inhabitants rests in the hands of the players as they fight to survive and uncover the truth.
Without giving away too much of the plot, the game also features memorable supporting characters, such as Ada Wong, a mysterious woman with a hidden agenda, and Sherry Birkin, a young girl who becomes entangled in the chaos. The story builds to a dramatic climax as Leon and Claire race against time to stop Umbrella’s plans and escape the city alive.
