Reselling is Getting Way Out of Hand…Time to Act

Buying things from garage sales, rummage sales, and thrift stores have piled up and they need to be listed on eBay. Here is how I’m listing and selling some of my finds. Many of the items I sell online need to be cleaned or have pieces counted. All of this takes extra time when listing and if you’re not careful, can make selling the item not worth the time spent if the profit is low.

//WHO AM I?

I’m Wick and I am a reseller for a living. I find things at garage sales, thrift stores, and even clearance at retail stores to sell. I do online arbitrage, retail arbitrage, and buy locally. While the majority of my business is done through Amazon FBA, I also sell on eBay or anywhere else I can flip the junk that I find.

I also trade stocks and futures, do affiliate marketing, and Merch by Amazon to make money online. My goal is to live a free life away from the typical 9-5 job.

Subscribe and join me on my adventures to see what I can find to make some dollars.

//FAQ

Q: What Apps do you use to sell online (eBay and Amazon)?

A: I search the eBay sold and completed listings to get an idea of what products are selling for. I use the Amazon Seller App to scan for FBA.

Q: Can you make a living selling online?

A: Yes, the difficulty is based on how much effort you put in and how much you need to make each month. I do this full time.

Q: Where do you find your clearance products to resell?

A: Literally everywhere. Check end caps and look for clearance aisles, but mostly it will be mixed in. Ask a manager if there’s any good clearance deals and build a relationship if possible.

Q: Do you make a full-time living selling online?

A: I do. All my bills are covered, I’m able to save a good amount, and put money back into the business. I also do other things to make money, but reselling is the meat. It takes a lot of work and dedication to make a full-time living reselling.

  1. Took four months to clear out our Grandma's "death pile" mostly items she and Auntie have in their house and sell on Ebay – since they don't type too well; was doing for them on the weekends. They are not buying anything past year until they get through all of it. Sales have been very slow though for this first quarter. Hope Sales pickup. Don't want hoarding for sure.

  2. I was surprised to hear those GJjoes were from '94… I assumed they were newer remakes. I was really into GIjoe when I was a kid and I don't remember the packaging looking like that, though I had probably gotten out of it by '94.

  4. It was fun to see that your death pile is toted up in no certain way. That’s the way mine are. Tonight I started a tote I have had for at least a year inside was an MCM ice bucket but inside the bucket I found a 150% sell thru rate garmin extreme sports video camera it records underwater etc I listed it for $295 and there are 2 more listed one at $500 and the other in sorta junk condition. I love this job 😂🎉

  5. I for one do not accept returns, I know if my item is damaged or not as described they can, and maybe I don’t sell as much because I don’t, but getting all those returns just because people change their mind- not worth all that for me, I changed to accept returns on an item once and the person bought it for a code and returned it, that was the end of that crap 😂
