Bruce is a juvenile male on the cusp of sub adulthood, which means he is one of last year’s babies.
He was found on the ground, cold and unwell, in an inner city suburb; I suspect he’s been hit by or unstabilised in flight by a car and crash landed on the footpath.
The MOP was unable to get the local vet practice to allow the bat in the door but they gave her a box carrier for him and I met her at work.
Bruce (named by the MOP) is a chunky boy who has been doing really well for himself in the wild, until his little mishap, however he was cold and concussed and needed a little loving.
He’s in care and has survived 36 hours with no deterioration.
I wouldn’t say he’s great, but he’s doing OK for this stage of care and I expect him to be a survivor.

Hope they find better care for the paralysis in some bats. Bats are amazing and cute not creepy
oh sweet Bruce…you don't know how lucky you are to be at the motel Meg for some R&R and TLC. Here's 🙏 your another survivor! you have future babies waiting to be made! 😇❤️🖤🦇🖤❤️
What a lovely lady trying to seek care for Bruce. I've noticed more people getting care for bats so feel the opinion of bats being flaming evil blood-sucking demons from heck are not true at all. I hope Bruce will be alright. He's a noice big boy.
I really hope he will be a survivor! those incubators are amazing… So I guess 29 degrees is good for bats in recovery, thanks to you I learned something.
A beautiful boy, a lovely lovely MOP, and good chances for survival. Everything from an AWESOME rescue to likelihood of a good outcome! This makes my day 🙂
Rooting for Bruce. Poor boy.🙏🤞🤗🦇💜 Thanks Meg
Bruce is adorable. I love his wonky left ear and his lovely long toes. 🦇💕 Wishing you a speedy recovery, Bruce!
I love a cutey batty survivor . He had the cutest little toes just pop into action when you asked if he could move is legs.
Sweet boy, I hope you make it.
Well done to the MOP for caring and getting Bruce the best care. Fingers crossed he continues to survive. Thanks Meg.
Batman = Bruce, battie = Bruce 😁 that seems fitting! Speed recovery sweetie 💖
Hope he makes it! Good luck Bruce!
Kudos to MOPs that really go the extra mile ,,,,,,,,sending positive batty 🦇vibes to Bruce 💞
Get well soon Bruce.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
Hang in there Bruce!
I’m so glad he’s going to be ok it’s always great news when there’s a survivor ❤️🦇🦇🦇🦇
Sweet little thing, I hope his poor little head feels better soon! Huge kudos to the kind soul who took such good care of him before he could end up in your hands, it's always heartwarming to see others who care so much for these spectacular little critters.
I love the thumbnail, he looks like he just realised he has toes.
Meg, do you ever find yourself narrating even when you don't have the camera going?
Thank you MOP!
Thank goodness for the people who care❤️
Bruce is absolutely gorgeous! Happy to hear his prognosis is good.
Poor baby. I hope he gets better soon. Thanks to all who care for this little angel.
That person really did well with the way she had him ready…if they could all be that easily gotten..this is good means education is progressing. But we still should not handle them unless you know what you are doing and are vaccinated. Bruce is a cutie pie moving those legs well that has to be reassuring. Hope he will have a great turnout ❤🙏
Bruce! You have an excellent strong name. Bruce Lee! Bruce Banner! (I know the second one is fictional but he is about as strong as you can get!)
I am holding out for you to live up to that name, and to do your MOP, Meg, and all of us proud. But seriously, no pressure, just get well 😘
Bruce is beautiful, and you have to love aMOP who gives up her gym towel to a bat. Glad to hear he is going to be a survivor…he sure liked that glucose. I loved how he showed you his legs worked.🖤🇨🇦
The eye goo reminds me a lot of the eye goo I have to put in my eyes at night for terrible dry eye.
Poor little Bruce, I hope your injury is temporary and you can be released and have a great life.! The MOP was so kind to keep him warm! 🙂
Meg, this is an off the wall question. Of course you can count on me to ask them. Do you ever worry you might drop a batty in the toilet? Unfortunately that's probably what I would do. I've dropped make-up, curlers (the heated ones), wash rags, key's, my wallet, etc. I used to wear contacts. Yep, until I learned better those too. I even dropped my cat in it. Although it was his fault! Dang spiders! Just wanted to know. Take care! A'HO 💚
Came here because of the thumbnail's title. So you've named him after Bruce Wayne(Batman)?
I hope for both him and the poor MOP he makes it! It’s good knowing people care about critters like this.
Yeah!! Another survivor!! Keep up the good work, Bruce!! ❤️🦇❤️
It is cold in my state Victoria. If I found a bat that needed help – AND it was safe for me – would it be ok to make up a 30c hot water bottle to warm him/her up?

Glad that little Bruce has made it past the first hurdle. I wish him a full recovery!
It's heartening to know there are still some decent people out there who care about wildlife. Bruce is a blessed & lucky boy to have been found by that Lovely MOP & then wound up in your care. I am hoping & praying that he does turn out to be a survivor. I've missed being on YT. I have had some painful & aggravating nerve issues causing me to not be able to use my hands. While it has gotten me out of having to do lots of housework (my wonderful daughter has been a great help!) that doesn't make up for not being able to do anything else that I love to do. For now I have the feeling back in my hands, but I had a reaction to the med I was given & have had to stop taking it, so I'm afraid the issue will come back. Until then, I can comment on videos again! Yay! Sending love to you & the batties!🦇!💜🦇💜🦇
Yay for survivors. Like the old song goes… Don't bring me down, Bruuuuuuce!
Complimeti Meg che salvi i piastrellino Volpe l'ho nutri e visiti se sa bene.
🥰💯👍🏼🦇🦇🦇🦇
As someone wrote i' m glad too there are people with a big heart who help these poor animals in troubles!! Bruce is improving and i' m glad!!!
New Sub! Thank you for what you do! They are so cute oh my gosh!!
Oh please please please be a survivor!
Come on young Bruce you can do it🤞❤ What a lovely lady who helped young bruce, took him to the vets (I don't see why some vets won't administer care to bats, I couldn't imagine just turning Bruce away when he may need medical help,) got a box, warmed him up and took him to work and then you picked him up👍
Great stuff!
Wish there were more Adrian’s and Vicki’s about.
Little Bruce suddenly waves his legs!

I love your conversations with your rescuees… they’re always informative and loving…and we get to learn the steps to getting these sweethearts back and flying high.
Is Bruce's last name Wayne by any chance? LoL! 😯🦇🦇 Did he have a cape? 🤔✌🇨🇦🦇🦇
What a lovely, caring, and knowledgable MOP. I hope Bruce recovers quickly and completely.
Hang in there- no pun- Bruce!
